  1. I used the Energizer batteries, too. No problems at all. I have three of the underlit alarms with clear, 4-mag rollers which pick up the colour of the LEDs. Red, White and Blue, of course! Love the alarms, can't fault them. Ian.

Same here! I agree, it certainly looks like proper cork. The rods look to be great value for money, too. Ian.

Wonder what they mean by "cork style handles". Is it cork or something that looks like cork? Ian.

If you're going the second-hand route would you consider Chub Outkasts? My son has a set of three and they really are good rods. Ian.

I'd also recommend them or the TB CF-X but based on the options he listed they are out of his price range.

Not quite 3.25 but these are supposed to be incredible value rods: https://www.tacklebox.co.uk/rods-en/carp-rods/tackle-box-darent-valley-specimen-rod-12ft-3lb-50mm.html

  11. Sorry, yeah! The no trace beads! Thanks mate. I agree with the above comments about not dropping the lead on a helicopter set up. I want the weight of the lead to assist with separation of the leader and Hooklink in the event of a crack off.
