  1. I use this knot Shockleader knot and it is very very strong. I’ve never come close to breaking it. I’ve even straightened out hooks on snags. I use avid outline if I’m using an fluoro leader. It straightened out very well and sinks well but is supple enough to lay nicely. It’s as invisible as you can get underwater too as it’s got a smokey brown pattern to it unlike other white clear fluorocarbons.

  2. Please tell me they are joking! https://www.total-fishing-tackle.com/nash-bore-tool Come on Nash tackle, you really are scamming the carp angler now. What a waste of money! If you are so inclined stay Carp tax free: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolson-3-Piece-Countersink-Set/232854214242?hash=item3637315662:g:BoYAAOSw-d5bTzDY

    Snails

You just bind it on going round and round the bait ,when finished winding it on just pull to snap , it just binds on ,no need for loops or nots , have a look on you tube sea fishing ect , theirs bound to be someone showing how , it is really easy Ps , floss will not contract like bait elastic which pulls tight on the bait.

  6. I’ll stick to using my Swiss Army knife to whittle away when I fish Snowmen baits. But I’ve got a couple of mates who’d buy this, they just like buying fishing stuff and who am I to complain if they do,they don’t drink or smoke so like being tackle tarts 🙄😂😂😎🎣

I've caught carp, pike, perch and chub on slugs, in fact I freeline slugs specifically targetting chub on a size 2 or 4 Super Specialist. I have thought about using snails on the hook, but found putting a hook through the shell created a larger than needed hole if it didn't crack, and I never fancied drilling them. The furthest I got was putting live snails in my spod mix as I got to the bank. I do not know if they added extra attraction.

Ive caught carp and perch on slugs before mate. Just hooked on with a size 4 barbed hook. Never had a problem with them coming off. Mainly float fished though.

Never used Snails or Slugs , but if I was to put a Snail on the hook, out of the shell, I would use Bait elastic and bind it on , very similar to way I secure soft baits I use Beach fishing . https://www.gerrysfishing.com/gerrys-bait-elastic-1-per-pack.ir

    Litter

Sadly Mate, I don't think pictures of what discarded tackle has done will deter some, as the notices prohibiting fires are ignored. The nearest car parking area to the park lake near me is sometimes used as a 'fly tip point'. Some of the anglers who fish there really don't care about other animals, dogs etc. Just before the end of March I walked round with Sky, and found a pike trace and trebles just dumped on the ground. It is not the first. I have put fires on the bank out myself, then wished I had called the fire brigade, just to draw attention to it. If the fire brigade keep getting called out then they might put pressure on the council. In all the times I have walked round Chantry Park, I have only seen two park rangers this year. They are spread too thin, no on-site full time staff. 15 years ago a ranger went round every day emptying the bins and clearing litter with a trailer on his quad bike! I keep on emailing the council with pictures of the litter, of overflowing bins, so maybe it was that pressure that got those rangers down there, but I haven't seen them since, and I do walk Sky around there frequently, and I still email the council with pictures and information when the bins are full.

  12. I use a back to back grinner. 4 loops for the flouro and 5 for the mono.

  13. Tie an overhand loop in the thicker material, then the thinner material put through the loop parallel and tie a Grinner or Uni knot around the thicker material. I lighter blob the tag ends. I would suggest checking leader to mainline knots regularly, and please make sure any end tackle can be ejected in the event of a crack or break-off. If it goes anywhere, it is nearly always at the leader mainline knot.
