Are you bored with fishing or bored with going through the same routine on the same water sitting behind rods on alarms ? There is far more to fishing than the above , maybe ask yourself what aspects you still enjoy . If is being out in the countryside then do you need to fish ? I like being in the open by water , my favourite way to catch carp is traveling light using a carp rod with centrepin reel and fishing sweetcorn on the float , yes you get roach , rudd ,bream tench etc but to me thats half the fun not knowing what has taken the bait until you strike ok some waters you can't fish like this but on the ones you can its certainly fun especially when the 'buzzer brigade ' keep sticking there heads out of there bivvies lol. Location is also key I've swapped clubs this year and although some of the waters are nice there not run very well , so i'm going back to my old one further to travel but far more peaceful and as a general rule more respectful anglers . As Yonny says take a break , then maybe walk around some water just to see what your head/heart tells you.

Stop going mate. One of two things will happen: 1 - You don't miss it, in which case not going is a win. 2 - You miss it, ergo the bug is back. Win. It's supposed to be fun, if you're not enjoying it just stop going buddy.

I was in a bit of a rush mate me and the dog went for a walk along the canal so wanted a few floaters to put in. Ended up getting a bag of Sainsbury’s mixers for 3.50. Anyway, no carp about but seen a dead tench knocking the 6lb mark 😩 baited up some clean patches in the holes of the weed with boilies, might go back down later or tomorrow and fish them for an hour lol

It depends which lake your fishing mate what I will say is Lakemoor have some monsters in there and will smash a bog standard set up. Anything up to 30lb and your standard carp set up should cope..... anything over that and your in the lap of the gods,mate. !

Thought I'd give you an update on this, we've done about 5 successful sessions so far, it's been an absolute pleasure. No problems at all really, she will sit and watch the birds on the lake without giving chase or barking at them, she loves meeting other anglers and always gives them a nice greeting when they come into the swim. Once the rods are out we do a lot of training on the bank followed by a some play time (no swimming or being noisy) she's a bit jumpy around catapults and still hasn't seen a fish on the bank yet, so will have to see how it goes lol. All together though, taking her fishing is the best thing I've ever done, it's completely changed her behaviour. She used to have a few bad habits at home (nipping/biting, thought she was boss basically lol) but after a fishing session she is that wiped out she gets in the door, has some food and heads straight for the bed without being a little [censored] lol.

I can't wait to get back on the bank, all this nice weather is driving me nuts. If I'm not working I'm with the pooch. Which is fine but being stuck in side all the time isn't. Really is starting to take its toll 😂 I can finally start taking her walks this Wednesday coming. But still have to wait another 3 weeks until she goes back for the lepto 4 jab. I'm not sure if its a good idea to take her fishing until she's had the lepto 4 jab because most waters I know do have their fair share of rats lol. Another month and I'll be doing some fishing again. Killer 😂 Anyway here she is
