Thanks for that timely input I was thinking it could be a right edge but I can't be bothered to harvest them, that takes a lot of effort and I hope it pays off for him, looks like it's back to plan 3283638 for me then πŸ˜‚

Well if you are right , Yonny , which you almost certainly are because you are Yonny , you've just saved me a few bob . πŸ˜ƒ
  4. No idea about a hard reset. Silly question but are you absolutely sure the heads are the remote version?

Yeah I did years ago. I used live ones, dead ones, dehydrated/dried ones.... and they were all rubbish. Imo the carp get on the (natural) snails simply because it's the easiest food source to harvest at the time. They're tuned into the food sources available in their watercourse and I don't think you can compete with that with any snails apart from those that are plucked out of the venue - so @jh92 has the right idea. Even then, there are other natural baits (maggots and worms) that will do a much better job of competing. The snail discussion comes up every few years. Lots of guys try it. Hardly anyone has any real success. Imho, snails are just not a great bait.
  6. Exactly β€” your contract is with the seller, not the delivery company. The seller is responsible for making sure you receive your goods, and they have to chase the courier if something goes wrong. The points about payment methods are also spot on: credit cards offer extra protection under Section 75 for purchases over Β£100, debit cards let you request a chargeback, and PayPal gives you buyer protection if you act within their time limits. Always good to know your options depending on how you paid.

That's some serious next level determination, hope your effort pays off.
  10. Been away on a little holiday so late to reply to this but, i think i am gonna sack this idea of, cut my loss`s put the new sleeping bag on fleabay along with airbed when it arrives. I get that lots or most fisheries wont allow tents....even if said tent is camo and looks like a bivvy, i would only be doing a max of 3 separate 24 hour sessions in a year during decent summer weather so i am just not prepared to shell out for a bivvy or brolly system and bedchair that will be plain an simple in the way at home. i just cant justify the expense of this and try to store bulky items

Well I've been out and got around 100 snails, got a special mix on the go in the bucket 😏 tedious picking in the waders πŸ’ͺ🀣 I'm off to the canal tomorrow morning for a night or two. Both rods are gonna go on snails. I will update how I get on πŸ‘
  12. Update. Have found a copy of the pairing instructions but can't get the alarms to pair. All the receiver lights come on as expected when switching on but nothing happens when I attempt to pair. Have tried with all three alarms which are all working fine so I suspect a problem with the receiver. Is there a hard reset I can do or should i suspect a faulty receiver? TIA.
  13. I have just acquired 3 nice Steve Neville alarms and a Mk1 receiver. The alarms work fine but I can't seem to pair with the receiver. Does anyone have a copy of the instructions for how to do this? TIA. Steve

CC Moore do some small ones, which are friend had some success with, but nothing like the bad boys @elmoputney found. I've tried hair rigging slugs before but they didn't stay on long. I'd be interested to know how you get on @jh92,so do keep us posted mate? https://ccmoore.com/32-frozen-water-snails

There's a lot of snails on the canal at the moment and the fish seem to be hoovering them up and avoiding bait lol. Any suggestions on how I can catch a couple of them for bait, like some sort of snail trap?
  23. My mrs bought me a solar sod pod when they first came out my mate bought a fox single action pod but after a while HE asked to swap it as I used fox alarms and he used delkim I did, the fox fell apart the solar is still going lol he is deffo a tackle tart.
  24. Ha,no 8 is lightweight I don't just polish my stainless ,I take two sod pods ...think I'm.joking pic to follow To be fair though ,those gravel banks are rock hard ... Thats my excuse..! 2+1 solar porn
  25. Note to self, don't use a bait boat on a weedy canal 🀣 man what a nightmare, so last night we thought we should send the baits/particle out with the boat. 3 rods went out sweet, dropped the 4th, turned the boat right when I should of went left and it into that scummy weed that sits on top the water. Wrapped around the propellers and stopped the boat in its tracks. We had no way of getting the boat back so had to do 4 mile trip to get to the other side, safe to say the travel was the easiest part, I then had to go through about 5ft of nettles in the dark to get to the waters edge and still couldn't reach the boat, so I tried with my net handle, which had nothing on the end so I couldn't even hook it out πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€£ in the end I just slid down the bank hanging onto brambles and managed to grab it with my other hand and launch in back up into the hedge 🀣 I got stung all up my hip, back and arm and hands lol and to make it even worse, the whole time I was over there trying to get it out all I could hear is my mate roaring like a child 🀣🀣
  26. There you go that was the thread.
  27. Sounds like a productive trip! You’ve got a solid haul of tackle there, and it’s good to hear you’re actually using everything rather than just impulse buying. Looking forward to seeing your DIY Deeper WiFi booster thread β€” always nice to see practical builds and how they perform in real setups.
  28. I get most of my kit second hand, never had any issues πŸ‘Œ got my hide about 3 4 years ago second hand and it's still going strong 🀣
