liamfish14 Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I have recently heard about the fizzing boilie rig and have the general jist of it. You chop a boilie in 2 Then put the back end on Then the tablet Then the front end on. So has anyone used it before what is and how do I get the actuall fizzing tablet? I was guessing this rig works well on difficult waters to attract fish to the swim. Quote
liamfish14 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 Well if they have a head ache they will be fine I was thinking more like oxegen tablet will a fast relise like you put in fish tanks.... Quote
salokcinnodrog Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Was it Richworth and Anchor who made the Leads with the attached Attractor capsules? I believe one of them also made a fizzing tablet Quote
binfield Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 would the fizz not put the fish off? hav'nt heard of this rig. Quote
mikee_s Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 it was richworth that made the attractor leads, they also did the tablets thay looked like polo's if i remember correctly. Quote
binfield Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 how does this work then, is it the fizzing noise attracting the fish? a flavour or additive in the tablet Quote
liamfish14 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 Well i'll be sure to check out the Richworth site. Well the way it works is the water disturbance catches there attention and im guessing what is giving off like the minute debre would attract them too. Quote
mikee_s Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 dont know if they fiz but they are called "Feed Inducing Rig Tablets" they have flavours - Strawberry Cream • Vanilla • Raspberry • Wasp Grub • Aniseed • Hemp • Cornish Cream • Luncheon Meat • Maggot never tried them myself, years back i used the Attracta leads with milk in the capsules to make a cloud. binfield Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 always amazes me how people come up with these things. Quote
liamfish14 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 I bet they work a gem on hard waters Quote
carpfisherlee Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Nothing more than a gimmick to remove money from peoples pockets . Ps If you want to try it ive heard people use them fizzing vitamin c tablets Quote
liamfish14 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 I didnt think of them !! They are like round tablets which dissolve in water!! Thanks alot mate :D:D Quote
poleaxe21 Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I played around with oxygen tablets a few years ago but with only limited success. Quote
bluebirdjones Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I bet they work a gem on hard waters I would have thought the opposite, it may work on overstocked waters with smaller carp and lots of competition for food but would never have thought it would work with older, larger and wiser carp. Quote
liamfish14 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 Well I see your point but I would think it would still work better on a harder water or maybe a less stocked water Quote
liamfish14 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 I played around with oxygen tablets a few years ago but with only limited success. Oh right what else did you think of them? Quote
poleaxe21 Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Umm Not a lot really. I played around with crumbing them in method mix but that had obvious drawbacks, and then introduced them into solid pva bags along with the usual pellet or boilie. I caught a few carp, but never felt like the oxy-tabs were having a positive effect. They had a relatively short breakdown time and most of the captures came long after the tablet would has dissolved. The small release of oxygen into a relatively large body of water seemed insignificant to me and therefore i gave up on the idea. I can see how they might work in a stalking scenario, possibly in conjunction with a floating PVA bag, but honestly i can't see much of a future in the idea. I think there is something in the idea of "active" baits. But then i guess we all catch carp on items that seem relatively inert to us. Our senses are very different to that of a fish. Quote
poleaxe21 Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I seem to remember most of my tests on this subject were carried out at Linear St Johns. Not really important but it just popped into my head. Quote
liamfish14 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 Oh right Well from that I might give them a miss, my thinking was when the oxegen levels are down they could be good but on big expanses of water it might not help much. Thanks =] Quote
diablo_o35s Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Well if they have a head ache they will be fine I was thinking more like oxegen tablet will a fast relise like you put in fish tanks.... One question, what if a fish takes the bait and then has to deal with its digestive system filling up with oxygen... the result is? Carp swimming around blowing off gasses? Quote
liamfish14 Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 No I didnt mean it like that. Sort of attach it to the hair rig and let the oxegen tablet fiz away to attract the fish to swim. But if they were to swollow a small bit I dont think it would cause alot of damage unless it was alot of them in one go. What do you think? Quote
josh_reynolds Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 http://www.carp-fishing-tactics.com/rigs-fizzing-boilie-rig.html Any help? Quote

josh_reynolds Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 not something i would try really, prefer to keep it simple with rigs, bait etc could hammer somewhere like drayton res though i should imagine Quote
