  1. because Korda hooks are pump! Yeah? strange that i have had several forties on them and thousands of other carp with no more problems than other patterns used. Only a few factories knock out the majority of carp hooks.
  2. whats a hook then? and not had a bait come off with them yet.
  3. learn to tie the loop properly and use esp super floss excellent stuff, or the rig marole bore rings are good as well. http://www.carpcatchers.biz/carpcatchersblog/index.php/uncategorized/how-to-tie-a-pop-up-to-a-d-ring/ good guide ^
  4. jerry hammonds brook lake if is still available on day ticket
  5. the mouth trap will go through the eye, just leave the line for the d long enough to grip then when you pull it tight give it some and it will pull down. i use size 8 choddys like this and catch well on them.
  6. got to agree chod for me, find the right weed cast into job done. fish feed with out fear in weed.
  7. google fishing coaching , find someone like that. or contact a local club see what they say about helping you.
  8. what hooks you on? had that problem with a couple of patterns eye to diddy
  9. Fair enough Gordon I could have constructed my original post better. for any new anglers abs and premier are two companies that make excellent bait for excellent prices, hope thats a start so you dont fall in to the £10 a kilo trap.
  10. i am on a syndicate with around 5 40+ carp and 60 30+ with a back up of around 80 other carp most over 20 pound. corn & hemp produces the majority of of the fish each year so you are fine on that bait, carp love it.
  11. go to moorlands fisheries website nice vid there of how to make a running rig. can be worth trying one on bolt one on running, both with bog standard knotless knot rigs. you can see what works the instead of putting all your eggs in one basket. edited to add come on cobelyn dont tell the boy that piffle about Nutrabaits, Richworth or mainline over priced guff. good bait dont have to cost you much . if you pay more than £6 a killo you are paying to much for a decent food source bait. hemp and corn is also very good bait for those on a budget.
  12. use to be a disease ridden cess pit, confirmed case of koi herpes virus. May have changed, would never fish the place myself rather poke my eyes out with rusty forks.
  13. What are you going to use them for and why mate? .
  14. i echo what jules said , get on long hooklinks. i have used 2 ft long hooklinks before . get your marker rod out a hard area in amongst all that silt could be a winner for you.
  15. get some plastic/rubber gloves first off .... then work in fingers then mould round baits and bingo . lot of big fish have come out to this but people keep stoom.
  16. 20ib x line float stops and beads bobs your uncle as safe as you can get .
  17. There is 30's in the blue but only a couple , not a very big stock of carp tbh . Good few 20's in the green not sure about 30's . there are 30's in poppy hill not many though they seem to end up in whitemans at the back , of the top of the bed the biggest ever out of 36 i no the fella who had it will ask him exact size. edited to add as i said in a previous post join luton ac fish beckerings or north house put the effort in and you will beat your pb imho .
