Has anyone used the liquid liver?

£15 for 2.5ltrs I could almost bathe in it at that price?

But is it any good?

Also butternutcell and GLM reviews if you have used it please?

Or any other AA liquids you like to use.

I will be mainly using them to coat spod mixes etc.

Never used the hydro liver, but used hydro active wheat, hydro shrimp and the ocean+. I've used them for rolling baits and also coating the baits when fishing. I normally put a kilo or two in a bucket, a cap full of hydro and some warm water.

I've liked all my stuff from aa baits and have confidence in them. I will be trying the hydro liver soon when I go back to my lt94 bait 👍

Thanks, the reason I asked about the liver is I've had good liver (BAF) some OK ones, and a vile one that ended up in the bin lol. In an ideal world it will be BAF quality.

I am trying to convince myself I can use any hydro to coat my banana baits (smellier the better for hydros is my thought usually) but seem to feel drawn to think I need sweet/nut type ones. But in reality shrimp or squid for instance would do a good job,

Can't comment on the liver mate but all the other hydros have been spot on for me 👍

I'm the same mate, if I'm using a fish meal I want a fishy meaty spicy smell to it, if I'm using a milky nut bait I want it sweet 🤣

Is the hydro wheat quite a sweet liquid?

Have used it and will continue to do so. Very meaty and pungent. I dose my boilies with it and then the following day add garlic powder, caught a few this way. Have previously used their ocean+ which is a mix of hydros and I like that. Used a few others, mainly the fishy/savoury ones and all great quality. Buy with confidence.

Don't forget fish don't think like we do.

I was using liquid yeast for any bait, fish, meat or nut, and it was a decent bait soak.

Pretty much the only reason I stopped using liquids was that I had the fish eating the plain standard boilies and liquids made absolutely no difference to the pick-ups.

However, put them on particles and the draw is rather more...

CSL smells boozy, not my favourite smell tbh.

I've been looking at spec sheets today, some liquids are low in protein and some are 30%+ how important would you place protein content in your choice of liquids?

I'm thinking I might go for ocean + like you say it has a blend of all the decent fishy hydros, so protein levels should be pretty high, and it's fairly reasonably priced at £20 for 2.5ltrs so I can add it at decent levels without needing to remortgage, I also love a bit of garlic tbh, I got some great garlic stuff from an animal feed place one little scoop makes everything vampire proof.

Very similar to CSL... smells of a slightly gone over chestnut ale.

Protien is where your amino acids come from in various guises depending on the liquid etc.. imo liquids contain FAA (Freeform Amino acids) are better as a stimulant, there are other ways to stimluate them though as i believe CSL attraction is based more around that active process of the carbs turning to sugars (might be wrong here memory isnt what it used to be ... lol) which is why the active versions are better than the inactive ones

That makes enough sense for me thanks, I have used CSL in my particles and it seems to help them ferment well. But I'm not so keen on it to soak my boilies in makes them smell like fermented particles lol.
