fishingrich1982 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 hi all i am fishing the monument soon and am looking for any tips people can give me. i have heard spoding kills the fishing is this true? and also wot are some good baits to use thanks for any help Quote
johnplumb Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Never fished there but you will probably find most of the fish come to one bait i.e. the bait they feed the fish on with that in mind i would then fish something totally different , bright yellows or reds ,very bright very smelly the Richworth ones are great . This lake is very pressured and in my opinion something different may just give you an edge ,i'm thinking one fish and you should leave happy . Quote
minimartin Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 theres a couple of pages of it in the jan 2011 total carp magazine Quote
kevtaylor Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Didn't Matt Hayes return to the monument and do well on maggots? Quote

fishingrich1982 Posted January 14, 2011 Author Report Posted January 14, 2011 thankyou for all the advice guys. i have seen the video on youtube and did spot the gulls being a pain, with them in mind would it b worth just spoding out hemp or corn to avoid puting out boilies and loosing them to birds?
