slyfox2591 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 I have also used an apple for carp feeding. I used the meat punch instead of cubes..did net two carp with the apple in a days session. Quote
iberiancarpa Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 I tried a price of almost dry dog poop and the fish seemed to like it as I had 2 runs on it  Well, I guess poo and runs do go together Carpmaster 1 Quote
m33ta Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Boilies made of skittles, and it never fails to amaze me catching on a bit of cork glued to the hook! Quote
brooklands Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Poop is a very serious bait – occasionally.  If your lake has geese on it, and they have a favourite spot on the bank where they embark/disembark, this is the spot that simply MUST be fished in summer immediately after heavy rain. The rain washes goose poop into the lake margins and it is one of the most powerful attractors for carp – but only under these conditions.  Fish this spot and you will haul, especially if you use goose poop on the hook.  But it only works under these conditions.  Not a wind-up Quote
bobstains Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 a piece of plastic has caught fish in the shape of fake corn  Ive heard of matchmen using crisps. Quote

newmarket Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 i know somebody once who caught using a cigarette butt on a size 16 Quote
elmovillan Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 i know somebody once who caught using a cigarette butt on a size 16 Â Â I can believe that.....I've seen carp take discarded dog-ends off the top! My favourite used to be sugar puffs and hubba-bubba gum can score no problem. Quote
russ_29 Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 fag buts crazy iv seen articles about lake owners moaning about the amount of fag butts on the bank because they can poison the water Quote
elmovillan Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 I'm sure the carp only take some of these things out of curiosity. Using one on a hook is taking it just too far IMO. Quote
slyfox2591 Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 Boilies made of skittles, and it never fails to amaze me catching on a bit of cork glued to the hook! Â How did u make these boilies? Quote
gnorty Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 One sweltering afternoon the carp were all sitting in the top layer, and I had no floating bait with me  so I went to the on-site shop to see what flaoting baits they sold, and they had nothing either  so, next best was anything that floats, so I picked up a pack of rainbow drops (those sugary puffed rice multicoloured sweets) and the carp loved them! very hard to keep on the hook, as they went soggy immediately, but I got some sport from an otherwise dead session Quote
chillinuts Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 My son gave me a green bouncy ball to use for fishing. I trimmed it down to look like a dog biscuit. It floats great using it with the controller float and i have caught around 10 carp on that and i plan to catch more. Quote
saskcarp Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I tried a price of almost dry dog poop and the fish seemed to like it as I had 2 runs on it This guy must have talked on the hook. Quote
dannyash Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 The ice skating rink in telford has a small lake there not sure if you can fish it, we went on a school trip when i was about 11 and the carp were going mad for clump/marshmellows and orange tango poured into the lake, mad. Dan Quote
