smufter got a reaction from crusian in Approaching a new water.
If I could, I'd be spending a while down there to see if you can figure out their patrol routes.....
They'll have them.

smufter got a reaction from salokcinnodrog in Anyone not weigh fish?
For a Tench that size my scales would have been out.
For a Carp? Don't think so.

Yep. It meant more than the mirror I had the night before which I didn't photograph.

smufter reacted to vaindioux in Who uses a keepnet here?
That's exactly the answers I was looking for. I never kill anything and never use anything live to fish unlike other European fishermen (Maggots, worms or minnows).
So no keepnet for me.
Thxs again and regards

I think with cockerpoos it's best to check it's parents/blood lines, if it's got working cockerspaniel in it, they can be a bit of a handful. This is what I've been told by a cockerpoo owner anyway lol. The dog looks well cute though mate haha

We are now thinking about getting a Pupper. Mate of mine has got a Frenchie that is his well behaved Bivvy dog, and I thought of one of these, or maybe a Staffie, but my wife is dead set against either of these breeds.
She is swaying towardsΒ a Cockerpoo.Β I must admit, they do look loveable, and we have been reading up about all of their traits etc. One would seem the perfect addition to the family.
But could a Cockerpoo make a good bivvy companion???

It's great mate. Toasty. Thermal long sleeved top, my favourite Nissan zip up and the jacket on top. Warm as anything. Have to be careful with the fags though, feels like it will hole quite easily πππ

On holiday all of next week (got a bit of decorating to do)Β and checked the long range weather forecast.
Tuesday wasΒ "drowned rat" day, Thursday was looking favourite.Β
Although looking at the forecast again this morning, Wednesday is looking the best of the bunch....ππ
Either way, I will be out next week at sometime.

smufter got a reaction from dayvid in Soft, warm jacket.....
Spent the evening reading up about the SJ3 Yonny, and after watching a video on them decided to go with one. The guy in the vid said they tend to come up a bit big so bit the bullet and went for a Large.
Managed to pick one up for Β£102.00 which is the cheapest I've found. Camo of course.....π
I'll let you know what I think when it arrives (early part of next week apparently).
Thanks for your suggestions guys

Well, the SJ3 arrived today. Can't believe how soft, light and warm it is. Absolutely amazing. They include a little stuffbag with it, I thought there was no way of getting it in there..... How wrong was I!! Needn't have worried about the size, it fits a treat. Thanks for the heads up Yonny, well chuffed.Β

First part of my review.......... the cardboard box it arrived in is lovely....π
I too find spreading the brolly open "with ease" difficult. I guess there is a knack to it, but thus far I haven't figured out what it is lol!Β
And I'd love a Β£ for every time I've pinched my the palm of my hand pushing the front rib in. Ouchie!
