  6. the savings to be made are are on labour premises. electricity gas water etc. packaging shipping and taxes. if it comes in at even £6 a kilo for ingredients and you get it right. you will probably have the best bait money can buy. Would be interesting if it was possible to work out actual savings between home rolling and commercial using similar ingredients minus trade discounts. that said, We all know a piece of corn can be better than ANY boilie if it’s in the right spot lol
  7. This one’s supposed to be pretty good so will watch it later
  8. Can’t remember who but that lead set up has been around for donkeys years not a criticism btw. probably Danny fairbass and then the cog lead came from it
  9. Check the old cross cast version as the spools fit the windcast as I bought some from daiwa.
  10. Or Weston developments. or fishingspares.co.uk
  11. 12lb is fine as long as the water isnt weedy or snaggy remember a leader will join the main line via a knot so it needs to be as small as possible so it doesn’t get choked. The leader goes between the mainline and the weight it doesn’t go on the rig. around 20 foot will be fine. you can also buy tapered leaders that go to around the same diameter as the main line and start around 40/50 lb
  12. Check the rules to see if you are allowed to use a leader in the first instance having a knot above the lead can be dangerous if not made correctly. if you have a spare spool you could buy a spool of fluro and have that on the spare set. you could always use small cylinders of putty to keep the line on The deck and instead of fishing tight let a little of the spool so it sinks, once mono is wet it gets heavier anyway so it will sink more. sometimes less is more anyway.
  13. My mrs always moans that she’s cold I bought some of the uniquelo ultrawarm base layers for her as they are rated to about -25 doesn’t moan about cold when she’s wearing them
