Did a very cold,wet and blustery day session with a mate Saturday and managed this lovely 9lb fish........ coldest day we’ve had for a long time. Had a few mates send me a t shirt so had to strip off for the pics...... it was blooming freezing 😂😂😂

Did a 3hr session and had a jack and this better fish at 17,4 last knockings it did it’s best to throw the hooks it gave me a belting scrap 😬😎🎣🐊

Yonny,Emmcee please except my condolences,never nice loosing a family member. I was 32 when cancer took my Dad I was lucky that I could spend his last few months with him. My life was a complete mess leading up to it so perversely losing my auld fella was also the start of a new life for me. My mum was housebound and totally reliant on my dad and I did some growing up real fast and made me a lot better person. My mother died 2015 and that was a blessing as she had been ill for a long long time. In 2016 my brother who had been troubled for a good few years due to a marriage breakdown hung himself,he was my older brother,my only family member as there was only me,dad,mum and Mike. I was so angry at him for doing what he did and was also racked with guilt as he’d been staying with us for the 6 wks prior to his suicide and I thought I’d helped him out of his hole but obviously not. We was close,my kids adohored him and seeing the upset of my children cut me in two. It’s safe to say it took me 18months to get over Mike the guilt will NEVER go away and without the help of my wife and the love of my children I don’t know where I’d be,it took me a long time to realise the courage it took Mike to end his life but time is a great healer and for the past few years I’ve been at peace with myself. 7 weeks ago I had a massive heart attack,I’m only 50 and have a 12 year old boy and 17 year old daughter and my heart attack really has put my life into perspective,again a life changing moment for me. I’m so glad that the forum is a help Grim up North but do me a favour,mate,if your ever struggling never do it in silence,mate,msg me anytime you want bud or talk to a friend or a councillor but NEVER suffer in silence. As most know I’m a massive Liverpool fan and as the song goes “ You’ll Never Walk Alone” x

AD are the cheapest around but snapping up the bigger shops around,it’s only a matter of time before they have major control,the average tackle shop just can’t compete 😒

That shop been there for a while lads. I was seeing a girl in the early 90,s and she lived across the way from the shop. My only worry is what happens when AD own most tackle shops...... do prices go up and up as theve cornered the market 🤔🤔

Don’t let the date on a calendar change the way to fish. To my mind these last 3/4wks have been near to perfect fishing conditions and in turn the fish WILL feed to the conditions,not what time of the year it is. I’ve been putting a lot of time on my local,as you can see by the catch reports doing around 4 day sessions a wk. At the end of every session at least 4k of boilie/pellet/particle was getting spodded onto the spots,given the weather was spot on for a big feed. If we’d had clear,cold,high pressure days/nights I’d of put far less in but still keep it going in. Good luck on your session Elmo. 😬😎🎣

I’m rubbish at wildlife so need some help. On the way to the lake this morning it’s a 10min drive along a marsh land i seen a bird of prey hovering that was a lot bigger than the Kestrels we have down there. It was a blowy morning but it was definitely hovering any ideas 🤔

Since I took up mainly carp angling 10 years ago and I know it’s been said to death but the most important thing I’ve learnt is location,location,location. If your doing short day sessions or even 24hrs if they ain’t there you ain’t catching ! The amount of time on a day session I’ve caught within 20mins of a move onto fish is unreal,if they ain’t there go find em ! You’ll catch more !
