So raking MAY ( in my opinion ) decimate a possible feeding area so it may be a better option to try fishing in the detrius for a while before opting to rake it up. Just to say that i watched one of their auctions on the bay this evening . 8m tube of pva mesh , double ended plunger + 35 metre refill went for £4.20 plus a bit of postage .

I've just had a look on this Elphicks website . Did everyone know they have Carp to 62LB ????? Wtf ? Did this place do a record or something ? Or is it a garlic chewer ? Either way i've never heard of the place but it explains why its absolutely extortionate prices to fish there And its reckoned you have to book 4-6 weeks in advance even this time of year . Hello jack welcome to the forum . I cant help because i've never been but since its one of the biggest most popular commercials in france it shouldnt be too hard to discover whats working there and whats not . I think this is the place that publicizes there Catch reports via adverts in near enough all the Carp comics so that would be worth a butchers ? And i think there is a french supplement in Carpworld these days . As i say VERY popular very busy lakes so the net should be the proverbial mind of information . I could be wrong , its just a hunch , but i dont reckon anyone on here has been to Dream lakes . We'll see ....good luck jack .

I can understand them trying to vet new members TO A POINT , i know a lot of syndicates do the same but how is having to wait until July to night fish a venue winkling out the riff raff ffs ? You are either responsible or capable of night fishing or you arent ? Having to wait until July hardly proves you are not a Noddy .

Why do these clubs have such ridiculous rules ? No nights before july ffs whats THAT about ? No this and that in your first year ? A club i was looking to join ( before i moved ) runs a very historical water in dagenham . Was fished in the 40's and 50's by richard walker and his cronies . The Carp in there now are allegedly direct descendents of those original fish ( same strain as Redmire amongst others ). Its all very hush hush , application forms only available from the geezer in the local pie & mash shop ffs . You can only float fish for 5 years before you can go on the waiting list for a Carp ticket ? Whats THAT about ? So if i stalk out or catch a big Carp on float gear what they gonna do ? AND they expect you to attend 2 work parties every month and an evening one EVERY week in high summer . All for the privilege of NOT being allowed to fish for Carp. Ridiculous.
