  1. Thanks for pointing that out Milky i really hadnt thought of that , nice one . Yep the enterprise snag safe rings are very good , i used one on my weedy lake last time out . Are YOU aware of an inline drop off running system at all ?
  2. Tbh im not 100% happy about using any kind of lead clip in weed or dropping the lead but i can see how it might help. If you dont use a tail rubber Dal , how can you be certain that the lead wont eject on the cast ? Or is it a case that it just wont end of ? Apologies to OP for digressing off inlines
  3. Its ok ive sussed it out . Not inline but effective drop off system netherless . Dunno why i didnt think of this earlier , i have some in my tackle box too
  4. My dinosaur brain cant remember if i've asked this before at some point but : Is there an inline running lead version of this ? Something in my head is telling me i have :)
  5. Yes Dal i just looked at it funnily enough Will it work ok without a leader/tubing or is it a bit risky ?

  7. Hi Antony welcome to the forum , cant really offer any advice on the french carp scene never having been , except to say that in my opinion , ask questions , read up lots and get as much experience as you can before fishing for big Carp as match fishing expertise wont help you
  8. Everybody loves a leadcore thread
  9. Lots and lots of Carp Anglers often fish their baits on a "D" rig ie NO hair at all . And not just pop ups either . Wonder what facial expression that Bailiff would've pulled then ? Just a thought

  13. Why the dislike of the Grassies mate ? Just curious really , the 15lber i caught was thrilling
  14. Im not certain of the model tbh just remember it being a shimano . Black with some red in it here and there i think , 2.5 for sure though . Good Angler mind you .
  15. Wise advice indeed though i will say that re the little story i posted above , he was using an old Shimmy Catana 2.5 tc , i think , paired with a very small looking ( to me ) Daiwa Regal . Was hard work but managed the job ok.
  16. I hate the effin things mate , knowing my luck i'd accidentally catch a little one and it'll deffacate all over me
  17. Afternoon Reedy just a quickie to say that i was with my nephew fishing for Carp at the aforementioned Crow Green when he caught 2 50lb+ Catfish on the same pineapple pop up There used to be an old rowing boat tied up to the far margin and he had a pineapple pop up next to the boat for the best part of 2 days . As we were considering packing up his rod rattled off and produced the first Cat , which ran him up and down the lake for half an hour. Once we had landed & weighed it we decided to give it another 20 mins and he is so lazy he left the same boilie on his rig and slung it out to the same spot . Rig hadnt been out there for 5 minutes when the second Cat took the bait . We dont really know how much they weighed because his scales only went up to 50lb :) And THAT was about 5 or 6 years ago
  18. Glm is THE bait for Crow Green Reedy believe it or not . At one time the specimen lake there was known as an Odyssey XXX water , and as you will know , that contains a large percentage of green lipped mussel .
  19. i noticed the same thing when i used to fish the river stort . could fish there every day for a month and not see another fisherman let alone a bailiff
  20. i hope you get a reply mate . i emailed them 2 years ago enquiring about something and im still waiting for a reply i used to fish there a lot mate and they are not that strict on the night fishing thing .especially this time of year , its just to try and keep the noddys away. if you turn up and fish you'll be ok i expect . i'm hoping to get over there in the spring for a spot of Grassie hunting ....
