Oh and Tarquins going to give birth in the next coupla days too ... Caught the blooming thing building a nest this afternoon . I'll post what I consider to be quite a comical picture when I switch over to tapatalk in a mo

    Aviary .

She's currently flogging hatching eggs on eBay . Do you know that 4 mountain quail eggs go for nearly a long 'un ? And if people want a pair of birds they fetch £160-180 ? Oh and I just found out today that the blooming African Land snails (yeah I know).... Have laid hundreds of eggs ffs
  6. You can't go wrong with anything JRC but if I was in the market for a new Bivvy I'd be seriously considering the carp zone stuff . A 2 man is always handy too for the bonus space

  8. I had to read that twice I thought , what an ass lol
  9. Jack and Jill are very busy by all accounts
  10. Good to see Millscum got beat .... Keeps em down 'there' with the Blunts
  11. Will it suspend with a sinking bait though Neal ?
  12. How big is your controller float ? If it's a smaller sized one you could try a Giz ? A boilie fished a few inches below the surface ? A zig just below the surface would probably be far more effective though as would plain old straightforward float fishing . A controller float is obviously designed for floater fishing so if you want to try it out that badly then you really need to find a lake that allows it
  13. Apology accepted sir
  14. T-6 Raptors ? Or the Muggas are not a million miles away and probably sharp
  15. I don't mind , or care for that matter , what people's views are on any topic . It's a free (within reason) forum for people to air their opinions full stop. I object to being brought into it purely because it was Jon's post that Philip took a dislike to . It probably would have been the same were it 'liking' a post of yours or several other forum members i could mention but won't . Other forum members would have 'got away with it'. It was uncalled for and I'm disappointed though not in the least surprised that the post is still there , unedited . Despite my actually physically requested it be.
  16. I can categorically confirm that a Wafter is a pop up that didn't get enough cork dust added to the mix. I know , I've made enough of 'em
  17. I've left it a week to respond to this in the hope that somebody on here with some clout would delete the last paragraph . I'm sure you know already anyway but , for the benefit of everybody else , I reported your post to admin because I thought , and still do think that that last paragraph is bang out of order . Whether I considered the initial Cyborx post to be mildly amusing by way of tongue in cheek is neither here nor there to anybody else and if there had been a 'found the post to be mildly amusing' button then I would have mildly amused it .... In its absence the like button was the nearest option . I reported it , as I say , in the hope that admin/mods would remove the uncalled for snide comment but a week on its become obvious that THAT isn't going to happen and I'm not surprised about THAT either which would have saved me the trouble of posting In an argument I had no intention of getting involved in . Sad . Very sad.
  18. As you can imagine Dan I am a total novice so have a lot of reading ahead of me in the next coupla days. I understand that a proper mixture of appropriate Plantage in the pond keeps the oxygen up and therefore keeping nitrogen at a safe level . Does that sound right ?
  19. I'll take that on board Jon . I believe the pond she's buying has "all the bits" included so I'm just hoping that includes the ph thingy too
  20. Glad to hear it Mark . I'm told a couple of small Tench in the pond will keep the bottom free of any rotting food , any truth in that cos I believe my dear old dad did that years ago . Just didn't put it as politely as that
  21. Mmmm I can imagine . I need to do some reading up on this Ph balance lark . Chemistry was never my strong point as you can tell from my bait thread contributions
  22. Well she'll do it Jon whether I agree or not anyway but I'm the one that'll end up looking after it .
  23. How are your fish Mark ? We are putting a pond into our back yard and I'm obviously looking st getting a few Carpy creatures ... Any advice for me ?
  24. Anything produced by Trakker needs to be good at the price they charge for it .
