  2. I had to read that twice I thought , what an ass lol
  3. Jack and Jill are very busy by all accounts
  4. Good to see Millscum got beat .... Keeps em down 'there' with the Blunts
  5. Will it suspend with a sinking bait though Neal ?
  6. How big is your controller float ? If it's a smaller sized one you could try a Giz ? A boilie fished a few inches below the surface ? A zig just below the surface would probably be far more effective though as would plain old straightforward float fishing . A controller float is obviously designed for floater fishing so if you want to try it out that badly then you really need to find a lake that allows it
  7. Apology accepted sir
  8. T-6 Raptors ? Or the Muggas are not a million miles away and probably sharp
  9. I don't mind , or care for that matter , what people's views are on any topic . It's a free (within reason) forum for people to air their opinions full stop. I object to being brought into it purely because it was Jon's post that Philip took a dislike to . It probably would have been the same were it 'liking' a post of yours or several other forum members i could mention but won't . Other forum members would have 'got away with it'. It was uncalled for and I'm disappointed though not in the least surprised that the post is still there , unedited . Despite my actually physically requested it be.
  10. I can categorically confirm that a Wafter is a pop up that didn't get enough cork dust added to the mix. I know , I've made enough of 'em
  11. I've left it a week to respond to this in the hope that somebody on here with some clout would delete the last paragraph . I'm sure you know already anyway but , for the benefit of everybody else , I reported your post to admin because I thought , and still do think that that last paragraph is bang out of order . Whether I considered the initial Cyborx post to be mildly amusing by way of tongue in cheek is neither here nor there to anybody else and if there had been a 'found the post to be mildly amusing' button then I would have mildly amused it .... In its absence the like button was the nearest option . I reported it , as I say , in the hope that admin/mods would remove the uncalled for snide comment but a week on its become obvious that THAT isn't going to happen and I'm not surprised about THAT either which would have saved me the trouble of posting In an argument I had no intention of getting involved in . Sad . Very sad.
  12. Neal . I reckon that if the only chance you get to fish at Bayeswater is day sessions at Weekends then you are going to be continuously banging your head against a brick wall and therefore up against it all the time . Maybe it's not like it Tuesday-Wednesday time but I bet it is . Its regional popularity puts it on a par with The linears & yateleys of this world Essex style . And when I say that I'm referring to the fact that it's always banged out especially Spring-Autumn as I know nothing about the stock . Not bad mouthing the place , just commenting on its busyness shall we say , but when you are only there for the day you need so much to go in your favour . If the place wasn't owned by Nash's bait guru then you might stand half a chance as it wouldn't be so busy . If you could fish longer sessions and arrive on a Thursday or a Monday/Tuesday you not only would have more options with regards location you may also be in with a chance of benefitting from any significant change in the weather ie setting up where a new wind is forecast tomorrow for example . Nobody wants you to succeed there more than I do mate , you know that , but I think there have to be better options for YOU at the present time in Suffolk/Essex. But then what do I know , I don't even go fishing
  13. As you can imagine Dan I am a total novice so have a lot of reading ahead of me in the next coupla days. I understand that a proper mixture of appropriate Plantage in the pond keeps the oxygen up and therefore keeping nitrogen at a safe level . Does that sound right ?
  14. I'll take that on board Jon . I believe the pond she's buying has "all the bits" included so I'm just hoping that includes the ph thingy too
  15. Glad to hear it Mark . I'm told a couple of small Tench in the pond will keep the bottom free of any rotting food , any truth in that cos I believe my dear old dad did that years ago . Just didn't put it as politely as that
  16. Mmmm I can imagine . I need to do some reading up on this Ph balance lark . Chemistry was never my strong point as you can tell from my bait thread contributions
  17. Well she'll do it Jon whether I agree or not anyway but I'm the one that'll end up looking after it .
  18. How are your fish Mark ? We are putting a pond into our back yard and I'm obviously looking st getting a few Carpy creatures ... Any advice for me ?
  19. Anything produced by Trakker needs to be good at the price they charge for it .
  20. I concur , cheap as chips low diameter sinks well if required , can't go wrong
  21. Gary Bayes owns the place so I can't see that . Having said that it is worth a try . Maybe.
