you can get sinking braid though

have fished with it on it's own plenty of times and caught plenty as well. sometimes i sandwhich a real piece in between 2 fakes

If it could get past the superglued beads of course. i did not read the thread just looked at the picture and posted my reply, reading the thread i think that it is a very silly wind up (or should i say hope it is) that needs deleting. if it is not a wind up then at least tcbuk will now learn and hopefully stop using this rig.

sorry but do not use that rig it is a death trap. you dont need and should not use the swivel on the end of the line all that will do is trap the swivel with hook attatched and the fish will not be able to dump in the case of a break off and the lead and will get caught up on roots, between rocks and many other things which will leave the fish tethered and unable to get away.

hi mate, snake pit can be a very hard water and tbh you wont get much info out of people that fish it, and there is plenty of agro on the water to go with it tbh. head for the snags as already said but i gave up on the water and club very quickly because of the agro and attitude.

hi mate, good quality waters and fish but AWFULL atitude tbh, i have not rejoined this year because of the idiots on the waters and a couple of other members on here have not rejoined as well, the other problem is the amount of litter, sometimes you feel like your fishing in a rubbish dump rather than by a lake. on the plus side 4 of the waters have 40s in with some good 30s as well, 1 of thier waters hold cats (used to be 2 but heard they have moved them from 1) the water that has cats the biggest is mid 60s, if you join good luck cause you will need it mate.

hi mate if your new to carping why not look for a nice small club with a runs water and good fish water rather than spend to much money out at first. where in essex are you if i aint said it somewhere else hi and welcome

people are gonna argue long and hard about this and there are plenty of threads on here regarding this rig but the bottom line is it can and does cause terrible injuries to smaller carps mouths and that is a fact

i would prebait with particles because they are cheap, and if allowed try tiger nuts as hookbait with a few freebies as the tench and bream will usually leave these alone

is the lake close enough to you to prbait on a regular basis if so go over 2 3 or 4 times a week and prebait with particles the carp will soon clear a spot for you. if not use big pva bags and put the whole rig inside, dont be afraid to fish in the weed just make sure your rig is safe as should always be done anyway.

mcf do a controller that is the shape of a small pear i think thay do three sizes and the large one can hit 90-100 mtrs depending on you and your gear. i have the small one and have caught plenty of fish with it but you must feather it down or it hits the water with a BIG splosh

so are you saying you would rather end up with a carp dragging your rig AND lead around and end up getting snagged and dying. which is exactly what would happen
