Not really if you use Basia type reels , tapered shockleader , 3 to 4 oz lead 10 lb line or braid and are able to Pendulum cast.

The concept for using drones whilst fishing will take of at some point in time , its just their noise will get them banned on most waters . Theirs a vid on Youtube somewhere of a guy catching ,i guess an American Black Bass around the 3 Lb mark spinning using a drone ,and he lands it.

I have only seen one in action and it seemed to perform well.

Your rods are fine for here and in France , but if you wish to fish some inland sea and wish to cast 150yds you may find they wont cast that far.

The Fox Brolly systems are Brilliant IMO , but yes some have leaked like a colander ,mine and my mates have been fine but others have not faired so well , they are a bit like Marmite , you either love or loath them.Im in the Love camp The new MK 2 versions are meant to be " much better " cant really comment as mine is a MK 1 Im sure some of the problems may be due to the fact that you can clip your short storm poles onto the ribs of the brolly when not in use , as this would rub on the inner fabric . I have always unscrewed them as i could see a potential problem their.

Some seem to be bullet proof whilst others seem to be sieves. The only time mine has leaked is where the clips for the small storm poles attach inside the brolly , as i unscrew them all every time this clip is of no use ,so i have slid to the outside of the brolly now and use it as a hook for my reciever .......no leaks now Mine is probably one of the early ones but i have only Fabsiled it once a couple of years ago If its Unsaleable Nick ....... send it to me ....... im sure i could do something with it.

The TFG brolly seems great value almost identical to my Wychwood Maximiser.. i wouldnt hesitate to by the TFG brolly personally. Pray tell nick your story with the Fox system .

I also have the Nash indulgence , it has a 40mm memory foam mattress which is detachable although i never have ,but as Ian says it is not light i think its around 13 Kilos all in , but is super super comfortable.

Fox Micron ..... been around for ever very good basic alarm and cheap.

Just ordered some ..Wychwood DPF line, the purple stuff, a few are using on here , Ill see how it compares to Big Game in due course .

The best thing i have done is buy an electric barrow with the wheels on the back , weight and what i take is not an issue now ,although the venues have to be unobstructed ( no fences or stiles ) so you may have problems on a river. It opens up parts of lakes i would never have fished because of the distance

I fish as and when and dont really pay that much attention to weather ,I personally feel less confident with a full moon but that doesnt stop me the same with high pressure, i would sooner it be low, the only thing that will stop me is the lake being frozen, Just go ,as they say "you wont catch sat at home"
