  1. Haven't used hemp seed for a few years now, became to expensive and quality seemed to drop too. I am now using my own spomb mix, over method feeders, was very impressed how the buckwheat 'resembled' large hemp seed when cooked, might be worth a try for others on here?
  2. Not exactly boring mate, but was same old same old. Didn't realise Terry Hearn was actually registered as a LTD company on companies house, fair play to the bloke and not some no mark bivvie tramp living off freebie tackle and baits for a brief spell on social media!
  3. Yonny: Sorry I didn't realise that, they looked a bit like the old Weigh Master scales I used to have. Kevtaylor: Might have to do the same thing, I have the big Ruben dial scales, they are a bit bulky, come to think of it I don't actually use them much now anyway! 😃
  4. "Are we talking about the old Nash Monster pursuit bait as used by the likes of Terry hearn and Nigel sharp back in the day? From memory it was a fishmeal bait with added Robin red with an added Shellfish flavour." Sorry so easy on line to find this stuff, from another site, just a big bait circus, no doubt it will fly off the shelves tho....... until the next big thing..... 😄
  5. And those baits are deff not any current Sticky ones đŸ¤Ģ
  6. On reflection, maybe a bit harsh on my comment, as ever the carp were amazing, big old ones and not fished to death by noddies! Couple of things tho... why did he use some 'cheapo' scales to weigh the fish? and... kept mentioning about the 20mm boilies, might be the Source, but did notice a 'sneak' view of a Sticky bag coming from the cool box too? Fair play to the bloke deff better videos than most. Just wish I could get out on the bank today and tomorrow but unfortunatly lakes are closed... weed clearance apparently, didn't seem to bother Tell tho 🙂 Or me if I was allowed to fish!
  7. Fair comment, deff better than some 'urban banx (sic)' thing, or a lot of just tackle promo videos ☚ī¸. Mind you, as someone who watched 'Harefield Hauling' many years ago perhaps my age is starting to show! 🙂
  8. Nice chunky fish mate, remember the late John Wilson was always a great fan of the Wensum, good to see otters have not completly decemated the river too 👍
  9. Probably not going to be to be well recieved but spent a while watching this and gave up, it's the same old same old...... last interesting one was many years ago on his boat fishing on the thames... imo
  10. Yes it seems to be, made my own and it deff makes the mix a lot stickier / firmer 👍 tried it on Monday on a new lake, no fish caught but obviously early days yet.
  11. Amazing fish mate, better than any pale water pigs on so many venues, and no mouth damage too, they are certainly to be respected hopefully will go on in some undiscovered places and be left in peace 👍
  12. I travel along A30 when I go to Kernow, actually there is a quarry on the right hand side as you drive that always strikes me as looking very 'creepy', never turned off to investigate it tho 😨 Think it is near the 'Nearly Home Trees' ? Also good to hear there are still places that still have Leneys... I am old but if they have been undisturbed some may be my age? lol
  13. @emmcee. lovely looking fish, glad there are still some around 👍. @salokcinnodrog Frensham ponds still on a Farnham angling club ticket, sadly as you say had a massive fish kill and tbh the big lake is now just unfishable, even if you wanted to in summer as rammed with swimmers and tourists. Used to be a lake near there many years ago that was an old skool venue tho, think Andy Little used to fish there??
  14. Sadly, I suspect no true Leneys now exist.... I still have this 'romantic' notion that there are still undiscoverd / ultra private waters where they do tho 🙂 I used to correspond 'email' years ago with a bloke who actually knew Chris Yates and he mentioned the Leney stock records, it started with my mention of a certain surrey water who Yates had 'guested' on and he lived near the place and knew nothing about it, probably mentioned the place on here but a deff no no for visits or fishing tho now!
  15. Lovely looking Leney, they were deff something special 👍
