    Nice looking dinner that!

I don't know if anyone remembers, but I did a small breakdown review of various makes of gas canisters here:

I'm still of the opinion that Coleman aren't the best, but are the cheapest of the 'premium' brands. There is possibly a link to a cheap eBay supplier for boxes of 6 Coleman £27.45 carriage free.

Brew up for yourself, you selfish man, 😂

I'm the same, my Bialetti Coffee maker is exactly right for 1 mug. So if I offer coffee, you must be special for me to offer you one and put it on specifically for you.

    Love a good coffee me

    Oooooo it's gooooood.

I can do 2 brews with it, but it will be half a cup 🤣🤣

Mine does so can only imagine how load yours is. Bet it eats the gas on full power. I went for the single one as I thought gas would last longer.

Don't take your eyes off it for too long.

I killed my kettle as I put kettle on to brew, then had a bite and by the time I finished landing the fish it had boiled dry and melted the handle. There supposed to be really good in the wind though.

I've not gone for normal gas, gone for a perchance gas that should last longer (apparently)

I only tend to brew up for myself, I've got/had what mates call a selfish kettle that only does 1 brew 🤣🤣

When you look at it like that, it doesn’t seem so bad!! 40kg a year? Some guys would do that in a week session!

I’ve got to up my game!

A Mate at work just back from 2 weeks somewhere in France (has his own peg there on a lake)....he took 150kg and still had to buy more for his 2nd week.

Just brought another 10kg of premier supermarinos basemix… at 10kg every 3-6 months for the last 25yrs I dread to think how much bait and cash I’ve gone through!

    £45(ish) for 5kg x2 £90

call it every 3 months...£90x4=£360 per year

    £360×25=£9,000 🤣🤣🤣

    Based on every 3 months

    10kg every 3 months...40kg per year

    40kg x 25 Yr = 1,000kg

I put off getting one as I usually manage to position my bivvy so my stove is sheltered just outside the door. The past few trips though, it's been a bit gusty.

I'm also mmm n highing about getting 1....

My uncle is on a local.pond tonight, caught 2nd biggest carp in lake after 20mins 🎣🎣🎣

  8. Just had a 2hr walk around the Park Lake.....wooooooow has it changed since last time I was there.

There was 3 lads fishing, 2 didn't come out the Bivvy while u was there, the other lad I was talking too and even helped set up.

It was only his 3rd time there, put him on a few spots and was getting indications after about 30min.

Had a good chat about fishing and found out he only lives up road from me 🤣🤣

Yeah I wont use a rig balanced in that way, I have the hook laying flat with anything balanced.  Blunting and asking to pick up debris IMO

Think I would give it a miss to be honest mate, just another thing to question if I'm not catching 🤣 I do like these under water videos, I know they are mainly plugging products but you can learn a lot from the carps behaviour etc.

I was having a chat with a different angler about the current video and was discussing about when one of the Carp literally turned 180 and bee lined to the pop up, we reckon it was done off vision and not smell if that makes sense.

    spacer.png

I don't understand this presentation, surely fishing this on a hard bottom will dramatically increase blunting your hook when you go to retrieve it?

Look at the rig right at end of video ive just put in thread....

I think I prefer a wafter in a bag just looks more natural. I don't think a bag rig needs to be complicated. A multi rig wouldn't be a bad choice it would do all the hookbaits you want and it would be easy to change the hook. (not for a mesh bag though

Not fussed about changing a Full Rig/Hook, got plenty 👍....

Either be a 4/5 inch Braided hook length tied straight to hook with Either a Hair rig or a Bait Screw for the hook bait.

15kg of 20mm krill for next weeks session 👍

@Higham1987 I have the stove you've got on order, wicked bit of kit 👍 I use it with a little wind shield and it boils a kettle in a minute or two 👍

Belting, was thinking of a cheap windshield (off Shein) with wife's next order 🤣🤣

Personally I would use a an uncoated braid, as it would be supple, you could leave a coated section at the lead end to act as an anti tangle sleeve,

What type of hookbait and rig set up are you using? I would use a 4 or 6 hook probably. KD rigs work pretty well in a bag.

Ive only ever done 2 pva bags in my life 🤣🤣....

I'll be using 12mm Sticky Mulbz Pop Ups, but can easy trim to a wafter, Fake Corn...

I'll be on running rigs like @salokcinnodrog hooks I've got a plenty, think mainly sizes 8 & 6....

I was actually thinking to buy the Korda PVA bag rigs already done 🤔

I thought I'd bring this up again as I'm using solid bags again myself.

I'm still using soft braid, Kryston Merlin and that looks like a VMC hook

The whole lot is going in the bag, multi-rig, hooklink and running lead.  20221014_090012.jpg.de5ea23d76feff3c14b5875f0fa9ec55.thumb.jpg.94407c3942cd63d68deed5ac722f4a1d.jpg

The hook is pushed through the PVA in one corner, the lead into the opposite corner and then the bag is filled with a mix of pellets, chopped boilies and dry Vitalin, and licked and sticked.

With what was acquired the other day, this is now my thoughts....

Running Rig into a PVA Bag....

What would be the preferred length ?

    Hook size ?

Seen some people use a short Semi Stiff Coated, but is uncoated better ?

I'll be using a bait screw on the hook also...

Welcome back mate,I knew this day would come.

Just sleep walking back at moment, need a licence also....

Just waiting on a few Family things then hopefully get a few Day/Evening sessions in.

Had alot (and I mean alot) going on in last 12/14 months, but things are starting to flatline out instead of up n down like the himalayans.

  15. A trip to local GO Outdoors to see what Stove and Kettle/Pan set wife can get me for my Birthday next week, walked out with....😬😬

Trakker 13ltr Bucket + Tray, 2kg Maniline Bag Mix, 1kg Manills Stik Mix, Manilla liquid Food, Pot of Sticky Pineapple (Bait spray too), Mulbz & Manilla all in 12mm, Few small (1oz) leads, Pva Bags (forgot the loader) Few bits of Terminal to top the Box up....

Will only be using 6ft Rods, so small intimate close in fishing will be done, Running Rigs on 4/5 inch hair rigs, all inside PVA Bags.

This will be my go to method for a while now, Rucksack will have Food Bits, Cutlery, and some oddities, Rod Bag with Landi g Net, Banksticks with Alarms down side, Chair and Beamie Matt, also got the shelter if needed.

    Screenshot_20240903_105101_Gallery.thumb.jpg.8047e4755eb92b3fcc7aecf8ba066eea.jpg

The Landing net below has been put with the 6ft Jig Setup I've also got, and replaced with a Sonik 2pc Handle and Net.

    Screenshot_20240515_115142_Gallery.thumb.jpg.9bb6d4df573c60ca889762882120945d.jpg
