I know what you mean...im not on any social media but look now and then on some websites with links to there own media page. Theres been many a time ive been on the bank with mates and all fishing the same and they have 5 or 6 fish and im blanking...MANY times this happened. I went from September 2018 to May 2019 without a fish...really thinking is it me. But now ive tweaked a few things...happy with myself and gear... So now when I'm out...im glad to be out and if i catch...ITS A BONUS. If a mate catches 5 or 6 fish and i blank...its good angling to him (or he was on the fish) if i blank..i blank.

Ican vouch for this...LAST WEEK...i sat in my bivvy for a good 20mins looking over my rig and was very quiet sulking.

Deffo be back on that lake...may get around September though...going to a different lake Sunday...then next week off for some sturgeon...then week after i will be on the local lake were i lost it EVER DAY for a week...

The Fish i lost last week was DEFFO one of the lakes bigger residence too...would have been a PB.

I did a few simple knotless rigs with some brade and hooks (no brand)...and while at Fan Lodge i was playing a fish holding bottom using its weight...had a few decent lunges and was on a good 10min...got to inder rod tip and braid snapped jus above hook were stripped back.... So all rigs are now Korda Boom..Crimped..with Korda N-Trap stripped and Nash Claw hooks...loop style.

90% of my rigs are now loop rigs...ALL made from scratch with all Quality Terminal...not having what happened last week 😭😭 Can be used as bottom or pop up's.

Literally same every time i go...day sessions are cheese n ham toasties... 24hrs or more...full brekky...lunch will be probs toastie...snacks then a good meal.

Well....(what i thought was a good day yesterday) ive got up this morning to see that my fellow Carping buddy has sold all his Carp Gear and been out today and bought a full match setup. (In space of 24hrs)...GUTTED is an understatement. He Sold his Rods..Reels..Bivvy..Bedchair..Chair..Net..Sling..Scales..Terminal bags..Cookware..Sleepsystem..etc etc etc Bought..Daiwa ZR1 Plus 13mtr Pole and full kit..Preston Spacestaion XS (loaded with terminal)..Feeder rod..reels..Keepnets..Landing nets..Brollys..Carryall..Holdall..etc etc BASICALLY FULL CARP SETUP GONE.....FULL MATCH SETUP REPLACED. Tried to convince him not to do it but his mind is made up...

Jus had a walk round local water park...walking past a peg with a rubbish bag and an open box of Bakers Complete (floater fishing ??)...so i put the bag in bin...picked up the box of biscuits and the bottom gave in...bag of biscuits fell out...and so did this... Not hard really to jus put rubbish in bin and tackle in your bag or box. Imagine if a dog had put its nose/mouth in the biscuits for a sniff or mouthful.

Yesterday forgot to pack a chair for little en...My beanie mat (luckily mate had cradle)... Another 48hr planned for 30th August so dont wanna forget nout this time.

My local tackle shop was called Pemberton Angling Centre but a local Fishery bought the shop to join with its Fishery...Fir Tree Fishery CIC... They really cater for Match fishing but have only 1 wall for Carp Gear/Bait...very limited. But as stated earlier North West Angling Centre...Hindley....was 1 of the better local shops bedore A.D acquired it. They did a full rip out and restock and probably do a 50/50 range now for Match / Carp anglers.... like every where else its down to price-reputation-loyalty to a company.

Used to be called North West Angling Centre...Hindley. The young lad Tom...awsome guy and an old fella (Derek???)...they were 2 of the originals from the days when the old church transformed into NWA.

Abit like me...when im on early shift then when im home wife goes work then probably spend few hours that week tidying cleaning bits n bobs...but now im thinking a FULL new re-tying of rigs...
