Couldn't agree more @elmoputney, once I asked for just 1 eye replacement for my SK3 XTR rods...they sent the full rod set... There trade show did look great...especialy the Gizmo alarms ...

I have the SKS rod bag but hoping to upgrade all to the SK TEK range... Rods..Reels..Alarms..Weigh Sling..just need SK TEK rod bag n 2 Carryalls.

Be more or less same as last year...few kg of bait and PVA...see what else on offer. Hopefully Sonik have some clothing range by then...

Yeh they did...but was a good day. I was there for about 7.30/8 am near to front but built up quick... Hopefully some more good deals next year..

The local lake i fish @finchey also...there are (Flyers) that people head straight to with no thought at all "I want that 1"...spomb n spomb n spomb...so it does tend to push them away (my opinion even scare them off)...so scouring the lake and fish to shows until some time has passed and fish on the back of the spombed area...

I am confident that I know what I'm doing though and I know how to find the fish. Sometimes you just cant though and you have to make you're best judgement on previous knowledge and the conditions, if that is the case and I blank then I dont worry too much about it. Lots of points coming across and i am agreeing with most of them... Own ties rigs....reliable bait...finding fish etc etc etc

What gives you all the Confidence to go (Carp) Fishing ? It seems that a lot of people out there who read the mags, take the advice from all forms of literature, buy the items of tackle and bait that they have taken a decision on through reading the articles, go to their venues and don’t do as well as they thought they would. Then what happens is that doubts start to creep into the mindset (we are all human after all) and this is a natural reaction for anyone. The cycle then repeats itself with more bait and tackle, new rigs, etc., and along the way we may catch a few, we may blank? and so on and so forth. "Every Blank is another step closer to Success" So, how do we gain that confidence? Personally, i don't really do anything. What I try to do is be confident everytime qhen fishing. The rigs, bait and tackle haven’t changed. Simply become confident in what im doing, which leads to success, which leads to more confidence. confidence = success = confidence. It only takes one bite... Be confident and success will always follow... Thoughts welcomed 🎣🎣

Again...Second that...had a few good bargains myself.... At 1 point i was buying nearly every other day...but now ive got what im happy with.

Yeh...in Vader X range (nice cork handles too)..Dominator X and Extractor (telescopic like dwarfs)

Depending on your budget / what you had last time ?? Sonik do a 3 for 2 (150)on there Vader X rods...they also do 3 rod 3 reel and net Vader Xoffer (£269)...3 Alarms reciver and bivvy light (£129)...day shelter (£60). Basically im a Sonik man too...they aint top of the Range (Fox, Delkim) but not cheap too (NGT, Advanta)they are an inbrtween...Also lifetime guarantee when registered with Sonik.

I can't recommend Sonik SKS alarms enough...3 Alarms, Reciever, bivvy light all for around 100-120.
