Try on Fan Lodge...2 lakes 1 really for the carpers...but some big bream...nice tench too...also roach perch. 1 smaller lake really for the matchmen...carp tench perch roach barbel.

I know what you mean...im not on any social media but look now and then on some websites with links to there own media page. Theres been many a time ive been on the bank with mates and all fishing the same and they have 5 or 6 fish and im blanking...MANY times this happened. I went from September 2018 to May 2019 without a fish...really thinking is it me. But now ive tweaked a few things...happy with myself and gear... So now when I'm out...im glad to be out and if i catch...ITS A BONUS. If a mate catches 5 or 6 fish and i blank...its good angling to him (or he was on the fish) if i blank..i blank.

Hi Pal...Only ever fished twice...years ago on Match gear. Pond 2 i fished to the right hand side through entrance and fished the margains...it poured down all day. Pond 3 i fished opposite island with the narrower channel on banded pellet. Did well but that was a good 10yrs ago..

Agree with you all...but dont think ive ever paid for my lad yet anywere...24hrs on Saturday n he will be on float rod and will not get charged.

Proba ly is 1 or 2...but Dont think i will be going back any time soon...

Its an ok place but while i was there i spoke to a few other anglers and since the Sturgeon have been taken out not many fish now...no one has heard of a carp in there over 16lb... Was only the 3 Bream and 2 Carp...ive tried the place but dont think i will be back... I'll stick to Fan Lodge and my 24hr Fishing lake (Mere Lane)

There us a sunken island what the sticks are on but hardto find...only features ate the margain reeds and the horrendous drop off slope about 3ft from bank

Any features have been taken away...only the Margins and aerators now...it used to be a sunken island but ive been trying to find it most of the day in some empty pegs...so far 3 bream & 2 Carp....all on bottom baits (boilies)

There are a few crusing but not interested on the surface...trued Bottom baits...wafters...corn...Zig...now back on bottom and that were the bites have come from.

So far 2 bream about 1.5lb each...

Quite a few on today...mate has lost 2 at the net...other mate smashing the roach n bream...i was making a brew n missed a take...1 fella at side of me not fished for years...keeps saying "here pal is this right, what about this ??"...

Ican vouch for this...LAST WEEK...i sat in my bivvy for a good 20mins looking over my rig and was very quiet sulking.

Myself and 3 other mates are giving Beacon View ago on Sunday...im Carping and my mate is trying out his new Match gear.

Deffo be back on that lake...may get around September though...going to a different lake Sunday...then next week off for some sturgeon...then week after i will be on the local lake were i lost it EVER DAY for a week...

The Fish i lost last week was DEFFO one of the lakes bigger residence too...would have been a PB.

I did a few simple knotless rigs with some brade and hooks (no brand)...and while at Fan Lodge i was playing a fish holding bottom using its weight...had a few decent lunges and was on a good 10min...got to inder rod tip and braid snapped jus above hook were stripped back.... So all rigs are now Korda Boom..Crimped..with Korda N-Trap stripped and Nash Claw hooks...loop style.

90% of my rigs are now loop rigs...ALL made from scratch with all Quality Terminal...not having what happened last week 😭😭 Can be used as bottom or pop up's.
