Match fishing isn't relaxing it's a full on workout, it's kind of like the 100m sprint of the fishing world, carp fishing is more like a decathlon and I'm Daley Thompson 😂😂😂
I've had a set of Shimano 5000 baitrunners for years, Bought them for barbel fishing on the Severn and suited my early carp fishing sessions on small estate lakes.
My mate has some Basia's that he bought when his mum left him some money when she died and he said he always though of her when using them. Unfortunately my mum died a few months ago and I decided to upgrade to some Shimano XTE's out of some money she left me. Waited for Black Friday and got them for £136 each despite being £160 elsewhere. (I did try Carp.com honestly Nick but they were £180 and always out of stock!)
Hoping for this spell of cold weather to break so I can christen them.
100% staying on the Carp Front now, reasons being.....
Can Relax more, Take the Dog n Son when I can, (not able to really when Coarse/Match Fishing), but lad can have a Dabble with his float gear.
Been looking at the new Delks and lots of comments online regarding the ever faithful problems with rain and humidity. I thought Delks were supposed to be good, same blooming problems!
Never had any issues with the Fox MX's and they cost peanuts, unreal.
Some years ago now ,the lakes you refer to got a right slagging off by many people who had fished there , it may be different now ,
Look it up on CarpForum there was lots to read.
Had Delks for a good few years, very disappointed in mine, they do not like rain or humidity and I've bought the better back plate - still just as bad.
Will eventually replace with Fox but it's an expensive game or I would have done ages ago.
Not sure how much better the new model is or if it fixes the problems of the previous version.
