Yeah you should have mate, if I'm over Bluebell one time pop over if that's not too far, or on the next social - hint hint, get one sorted lol 😂👍3 points -
Think this weekend it's gonna be Park Lake, only because its closer, need be home Saturday tea time (ish), the Bait I've picked up this morning has been going in alot lately, and there switching onto it 🙏. Also not fished it for a while, my last fish out there was June last year 😱2 points

I'm out Friday 🎣🎣🎣, wait for lad finish school, then we're off....be doing until about Tea Time Saturday. I'm going to leave the Amberswood Fishing until after the New Year, I'm gonna gather alot of info for the place 1st. So this week its either the Club Lake I'm on or the Park Lake.....Club Lake more or less guaranteed bites but has had 2x 24hr Carp Matches in the last 2 weeks....Park Lake is abit harder but Fishbhave been coming out regular, Pristine they are, also Park Lake is literally 4 mins drive from house.2 points

Have a search on youtube, Kevin Ellis, Leigh Stewart-Day you might find one of Kevs videos where he meets Leigh on the bank and there is a demo of the ND2 with Raymarine thats pretty epic, I bought mine after watching that from Leigh. If you cant find it let me know I'll have a look and share the link 👍1 point -

I meant to have a look at your raymarine while we were at the social. I wanted to see how much better than a deeper it was. I've been doing a little research since trying to work out whether it's worth upgrading to a chirp +2 or other sonar such s the raymarine, I have a pro plus presently and it's alright but I can't decide how much better a chirp or other would be.1 point -

Everything I mentioned about stealth and accuracy doesn't apply here!1 point -
Ideally start putting bait in now & just trickle a bit of bait in to try and get a winter spot going. I'm only just starting myself mate. I don't get the time to get any spots going. I just listen to what and where other anglers have done and apply it to how I like to fish. Going to the social last week on a day ticket, really showed how my approach has changed a lot to how I fish at the reservoir. At the end of the day the fish still feed the same, its just a case of finding them😄1 point

Well this session is going better than expected… the lakes flooded, it’s lashing it down and I’ve just landed a new park lake and club record… 🤯🤯🤯1 point -

So you're not fishing 2 bait stringers exclusively or first cast if you are creeping them up and no one does ever, In reality you are making more disturbance than a boat. And even with a map spots change, so you would probably check that first with a marker or lead which is more disturbance, and that's before any bait is applied. I used to hate bait boats too, now I can see that used correctly they can be a great tool. With a boat with a sonar you can turn up blind, put your rig and bait (probably 20 spombs worth or more ) on a nice spot that you've just found, line tight and feel for a drop and bingo, you are fishing effectively. And that's just the basics you can find spots you could never find with a marker rod, be more accurate, you could literally fish on a dustbin lid at 35 wraps without any bait falling out of the dustbin lid. Not that I would mind, I like to know I am able to cast as far as any boat I send out. Not only that I still like to cast sometimes, you get a better drop from a cast. I will also use marker, wraps and the boat to make sure I am super accurate, you cant do that pub chucking a 2 bait stringer out.1 point
