  1. I normally do too tbh, keeps it warmer longer 👍 Nice and easy curry though, good old pataks Tesco peshwari naan was horrible though ended up feeding that to the wildlife, I also regretted the 2 beers with my old man bladder, I was up every hour for a while 🧓 Really enjoyed the horlicks and Jersey cow milk tea though, 2 things every self respecting carp angler should have in there armoury 👍😂 Back home now though no carps, good few shows, not far away but they didn't quite want to come to visit my spots in the allocated slots I had provided them with 🙄

    Back to pastures old

No luck this time, don't think I was far off but they have too much safety in this lake, and if they don't want to play ball and come to you then you won't catch them , I'm thinking of a new plan though it may not be so safe soon going exploring off the beaten track when I get time 😂

    Help with rod choice

Get the Centuries if you can, either that or the shimanos seem to be the highest recommended, i don't like Shimano gear other than the reels, Shimano rods were once known to suffer tip snap offs once you get to near their maximum casting weight, had it happen on two hyperloops fishing bags, i did buy them used tenner a go, but a Rod Builder who knows more about what's what with carbon blanks had nothing good to say about the Shimano rods of 20 years back, might of changed. The fox X3 is a newish one, i have what they replaced in price range the Torque would love a review on the pros and cons between the two, i really do like my Torques i have used balistas before but not the slims i'd say mine are easily on par with the slims and I hate to say this but in the past few years i have had them i have not dropped a fish, touch wood and all that.

    Help with rod choice

I'm amazed... there off the shelf mate , he normally has input in the rods at a development stage. To make sure they won't explode on him ! . But I'll take you on your word mate . How's the little one doing ?

  8. Second hand Nash Titan Hide... brill bit of kit, goes up on seconds sturdy and I got it with groundsheet, front infill panel and overwrap for less than £200 And I recently picked up a Korum Day Pack for short sessions on the river or for general fishing... fits all my kit in it nicely
