Imo it's not worth saving a quid or two when it comes to something as critical as rigs. If you're looking to save cash save it on the big superficial buys - shelters , bedchair etc.2 points

Disagree, I fished a 16 acre pit that had only been fished once before in the past. We used boilie only and caught from the very first trip. Yonny is right, it's best to wean them on to boilies using a smaller particle like hemp or corn or any other particle. The baiting pyramid is a fundamental of any sustained baiting campaign ending in a boilie only approach.2 points

I was using my throwing stick yesterday, I was really struggling to get 10yrd, then realised the boilie's weren't dropping down the tube properly, I was throwing boilie's that had been glugged and I thought some had stuck inside, so I tried washing out with some water, no better. So I gave it a good few bangs on the ground and the biggest slug I ever seen in my life fell out of the end. 😁😁😁2 points

With lots of nuisance species around the sooner you get them on those boilies the better imo. With corn and pellet you'll need to be ready to get through a hell of lot of tench and bream to get to the carp.1 point

You stalk your prey if you can't see your prey how can you stalk it ? Its all fishing and as long your enjoying what you do then it doesn't really matter1 point

Not sure, there’s not much info on the place really so I’ll probably give swlakes trust a ring and ask them. theres a nice big island at the back of the res, using a boat to get to it and fish from there seems a good idea lol1 point

My approach would be to fill it in with hemp and boilies. The carp will smash the hemp to bits, it'll wean them on to the boilies. Once they're eating the boilies I'd drop the hemp entirely. Best and quickest way to empty an un-fished lake imo.1 point

I have a friend that tells me constantly that a sale is not a sale unless you get 50% off. He says a sale is something that makes you buy an item you would not normally buy. Maybe it's just too expensive at the original price, or maybe something you don't really need, but buy it because of the new price? I'm mindful to agree with him if I'm honest?0 points
