Yeh it is...i put a pic in the pet thread a while ago...14yrs i had my staff...still like a puppy on the day he passed... Old age..arthritis..going blind...so had to make the call for him.

I didn’t realise you were a member here, I watched a few of your barbel vids a couple of years ago, I found them very informative they helped me catch a 10 pounder on only my second barbel session... thanks mate 👍

Evening all. I’m looking for a venue for later this month. Wanting to fish the Friday night through till Sunday morning. Quite a rarity for me as I’m usually a quick over night angler. Seem to have got stuck in a rut and just looking for a one off change. So im based in Fareham Hampshire and looking for something within an hour ish. Don’t want a somewhere where I’ll be constantly catching 6lb commons. I’d quite happily fish the weekend for 1 lovely looking fish. Size isn’t everything (as I tell the wife) but it would be a bonus (as she tells me). so where would you go? thanks in advance.

cheers, had that fish 3 times in total from my time on dinton. 32lb, 42lb and 44lb. sadly no longer with us. funny thing about that chapter in the book, some of what is written isnt correct but thats another story

yes mate that is me. that was when i had my really good winter. jim who wrote the chapter took the pictures that morning, didnt know he had put it into the piece until he told me and kit was printed. not that im bothered.

Had the afternoon off work so doing a few hours with the pooch. Rods have been out for about 40 minutes and just had a knock so hopefully catch something by the end lol

thanks finchey, i'd like to think there's some useful stuff on there, i'm not the best at it, there's no crappy carp team stuff, endless plugging of gear or sponsorship begging 😉 I hate drum and bass so there's none of that and I fish alone and on limited time so they aren't very 'arty' either😁
