  2. I hope you have previous experience with Pods Phil . I wouldn't like you to hurt anything in any way , maybe you should start off with a TFG pod or a couple of Dinsmore bank stocks before you progress to a Solar or Jag jobby ?

  4. I have used an original worldwide since it's release and without doubt it is was of the best and most versatile pods on the market. Then a few weeks ago I saw defiantmps fantail on the bank and was so impressed I ordered one as soon as I got home and am awaiting delivery. The fantail is a truely initiative piece of kit, made of titanium (so light and tough) and. cheaper than the new worldwide, well worth a look if you are in the market for a new high end pod.

  5. Never dismiss the margins! Next to the bank) it may only be a meter deep but that's plenty of space for me carp to lurk, lillies even better that gives him some cover and weed also good as it will likely contain naturals that they feed on....sounds like you are already on the rite tracks to me [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Do you honestly think there is a difference between the two ? Can you not just let a front spool run & run ? Really don't get the logic behind your thinking on this one Phil .

  7. my fishing is not all about sitting on my rods, tensed over and getting stressed over every little twitch of the indicators, its about relaxing and unwinding. i dont knowingly fish snags either, for the most part when static i fish open water in the day and margins at night so yes i do rely on my bait runner to stop my rods going in. but then, thats just me

Very informative, but my favourites not there! The tried and tested "tucked half blood knot". My go to knot for tying swivels and hooks on. Very rarely have a problem with them Made me laugh in France when my Daughters boyfriend was trying to tie one. He was holding the hook and carefully wrapping the tag end around the mainline. I said to him "just hold the hook and rotate it 5 or 6 times, it has the same effect and it's a lot, lot quicker" He'll learn
