  2. a mad rush after work /school for me and the daughter, made it for a night out on the bank last night, just about set up before dark.Forgot loo roll, cutlery and her little rod, Lovely looking swim, blanked like a good un till 10am then moved here for a bit blanked till lunch time, put rods out back in the other swim, had hot dogs, packed away everything then back to this swim where we tried hard, cast to showing fish and did everything we could,we blanked all the way home too.n Nothing to show for it but a nice time was had,
  3. Hi has anyone fished the rib lake at rib valley fisheries and has anyone got any info that would be useful on the lake etc
  4. Thanks all we are going to rib valley as we can take the dog .
  5. This was a few days into my trip, weather was lovely and caught me right out, sunburn on the head, ears and nose 🀣🀣
  6. Another little mirror πŸ‘ I'm home now, yesterday it rained relentlessly from around 11am all the way until 6am this morning, was driving towards the door so had the door down all day and night πŸ’€πŸ€£ had 2 wicked battles in the night, wading out into choppy water with waves riding up my waders, big wind and heavy rain, loved it 🀣 There's was a break in the rain this morning so packed up and got out of there before the next lot hits which is due to last until late Monday, so called it quits lol. Caught 5 carp in the end, 3 commons and 2 mirrors. 16mm white sticky krill pop ups done produced the most bites, so gonna have to up my game and start giving pop ups a try on different venues lol There's some cracking fish in there and I can't wait to return in September πŸ‘ Now have the task of drying everything out 🀣
  7. Yesterday
  8. Blackpool sunset tonight. We went for the hounds and rays but only doggys tonight.
  9. Now that’s a view you don’t see often in a pic of a carp πŸ˜€ so not damaged just deformed a bit
  10. I had to get one of the tail as well lol
  11. Don’t blame you staying on… best of luck for over the weekend 🀞
  12. I thought that mate, there's a right mix of carp in here. Some wicked shapes to the commons too lol. Yeah gonna have to mate might stay on to Monday now 🀣
  13. That’s a big tail even if half’s missing…you going to stay an extra night ?
  14. Yeah mate it only had half a tail lol, buzzing πŸ‘ I can't upload the proper photos because they are too big, so it's just a screenshot lol
  15. Nice result mate… the carps tail looks a bit funky in the pic ?
  16. 12lb, lovely looking fish πŸ‘Œ
  17. Bites have been slow on bottom baits so chucked out a white krill pop up on a slip d and it's produced a fish in a matter of hours πŸ‘πŸ€£ Got a small lovely mirror in the sling. Just waiting for the rain to ease and will get some pics πŸ‘πŸ‘
  18. Determined to catch a few more before I go tomorrow. Might even stay on until Monday 🀣
  19. Last week
  20. You saved a blank and fixed the waders πŸ‘ …and congrats to yer mate on his new pb
  21. Some of my gear is to old to sell so been giving a couple of the rods away and bits and bobs….iv got way to much
  22. Sealed my waders with fantastic elastic flexible glue, Β£1.59 from poundland, it's done the job πŸ‘Œ My mate had to go home on day 4 for work, but I stuck it out. My session has been saved by a small common tonight πŸ‘ Happy days πŸ‘
  23. I was the opposite, didn't realise how much gear I had until i sold it all.... From this To this
  24. Thanks mate, it was a nightmare having to start again, I didn’t realise how much money I had in my gear until I added it all up after it was gone.
  25. Thank you Kev. It is a lovely piece of kit, I've just checked it online. My Sonik AXS is already showing signs of not lasting (last piece of sonik kit I will ever buy), so I will be getting the MK 2 for sure when the sonik packs in.
  26. I dread to think how many bedchairs I have had over the years, Lafuma sunlounger, Fox, Bison, Chub, Badger, (actually a good product!), and Solar. I think the usual life was around 6 years other than the Lafuma which was only a year until I bit the Fox bullet. (I can go back to the 1990's and before sometimes sleeping on a mat before a bedchair. The honest answer is that so far the Solar is the best and most comfortable, I haven't had to replace elastic and it hasn't sagged. Believe me it doesn't happen on every lake, or even on mine all the time. If the ground is really wet we stop cars going round past the inlet (all winter), so a barrow trip might be needed. Wow, just checking my references on my bedchairs, and found this, a thread on bedchairs: Strangely enough, I think unless you buy right at the top range, prices aren't too far different or inflated.
  27. I'm not saying all solar stuff is bad btw but this bed was poor, it has been discontinued now, it was based on the same design as the sp tech bed but probably using a cheaper metal frame, had it not bent It would have been a comfy bed.
