  3. Hi Nick Sorry I've just read your post . So how is your Dad at the moment , please ? . I recently took my Wife to A&E , Ipswich Hospital , and we were in there overnight for 12 hours , so I know exactly what it's like . You were great in keeping your temper under control under stressful circumstances , I could have quite happily punched the first hospital employee I saw who just wound me up . My Mum had dementia , and it became too hard for her to live at home so she went to live in a friendly care home in the village . Fortunately I didn't have to deal with a social worker , just a care home Manager with empathy , and knew what she was doing . Take care . πŸ˜ƒ

  10. There are few tackle brands I trust totally, knowing that it is right first time, but Gardner are one of those that I have not ever had a dodgy item. In the 1990's I bought a Gardner Landing Net. It lasted until 2004 when it was stolen, I don't recall even replacing the mesh. Gardner hooks I have found blooming (as in to make bleed figuratively and literally) pinprick sharp straight out of the packet. I used their PVA mesh bags for years, and I haven't changed from Gardner Pro line other than a brief flirtation when no-one had any in stock after Richard Gardner sent me the sample batch to test myself before its release. If I ever contemplate moving away from my Delkim loyalty (I've never had any problems) the only alarm I would switch to would be Gardner. I did play with the original TLB's and the wired sounder, they were nice and did look good.
  11. Gardner make good quality stuff imo, my alarms are bomb proof, my g force stove is amazing even after 2 years the piezzo ignition still works (great stove) and a decent price
  12. My thoughts exactly. Rather wait a few more months for a quality product that lasts, than buy a mk1 that needs replacing with a mk2 in the first year.
  13. Sorry to hear that @salokcinnodrog. I hope he pulls through. Those waits @ A&E you refer to in your FB post are horrendous. A very close friend of mine had a stroke last week. He was taken to hospital and dumped in A&E for 12 hours before receiving any treatment. It's completely unacceptable.
  14. I really don't know where to start! It's been a difficult few weeks with my dad in hospital since a fall at his flat in August. Just when we thought he was recovering, he had a chest infection turn into pneumonia while in the rehab community hospital at Aldeburgh, so got rushed back to Ipswich Hospital A&E on Saturday night, where he has been ever since. Back in August I made a long Facebook post https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1JEEY9X2sB/
  15. the boys rods out on the spots
  16. Google AI suggests mid September if you believe that πŸ€”
  17. Or at least they are actually field testing them…
  18. Guess that boat from China is taking it's time πŸ˜‚ What a shambles!!!
  19. Gardner said they'll be out in 2025 so they could still be a couple of months away.
  20. Lol.... it is a shambles, apart from that earlier bloke I posted about them, nothing else. Guess I will give up on them tbh
  21. Possibly be when they run out of TLB+ alarms lol
  22. Go straight to the Burger Box for a burger n wing combo meal I reckon.
  23. Maybe we'll skip this high tea thing after all lol
  24. Thanks for the link πŸ‘ Even though I don't do FB I could watch it. Thinking this might be sods law, despite my earlier reservations on them I might consider getting a pair. However, the lack of info and release date is a bit concerning tbh. Will also wait for any longer term reviews on them if they ever go on sale?!
  25. how about marmalade?? πŸ€”
  26. Unfortunately Gardner are absolute pants with social media so can’t find much the video I took the screenshot from is one about back leads really and the alarms are just a couple of clips https://fb.watch/BT1qeTCeoy/?fs=e
  27. Isn’t Darren henwood (dalectronics) is having something to do with these as he did the originals.
  28. Never been a jam fan
  29. Have done as a previous post: "Just an update on this post.... Last week one of my old ATTs started to play up after many years of trouble free service, bit of a bodge job to get battery chamber working again but now doesn't seal properly! πŸ˜• Anyway, out of curiosity last week I emailed Gardner via the web site about any release date for the new alarms, no response - probably not surprised tbh. Actually wondering if they will ever appear?" Hopefully Gardner not going T*ts up as a company, still got a long supply of their hooks I use πŸ‘ But tbh (errr) sorry for 'speak not speaking engurlish'..... I would have now been considering at last to buy some but.... maybe they are on a slow ferry from China??
