One of the clubs I'm in have known 40's and a poss 50 in the water so pegs are at a premium on those waters, there are rules regarding stays, 48 on 24 off etc, but it still doesn't stop ****heads taking the pee... and if there are swims available, better make sure you are a 100mt runner to get one, I've seen buckets chucked up the bank and fights break out. Hence my secession from the big carp hunt... I'll be on a tiny water tomorrow where the fish don't get much over 10lb so nobody's interested, and I'll be fishing with cane and glass rods with small pins, and I won't get the bum ache if I blank and blame a moody water or the price of elephants for my own ineptitude... tight lines

Looking for new reels. I have Shimano Baitrunner ST RB Fishing Reel at the moment and want to move upto big pits. Considered the EOS 12000FS as the reviews look good. Also the Shimano LC14000 XTB. Although there's limited reviews I can find for the Shimano. I did read the clutch click goes. Anyone have experience with either reel?

Rooblinos update. It wasn't as good as the aerlex. Pretty quickly started sounding like a bag of spanners, And it broke my spod rod when I got a wind knot on the braid when giving it the biggun. I actually used the same braid on the aerlex and it didn't cause any issues and I was hitting 18.5 wraps like a boss, straight through with the trusty x spod and a whiny spod rod with no insert in the tip ring.

went on little lake today here is a rod shot pic with Diawa Proteus rod on my single rod pod, this pod is ideal for this lake as all the pegs are platforms and the ground either side of each platform is dam near impossible to get a bank stick in and one rod rule on little lake

Mine is staying at home for float fishing only days I did try him on the canal tow path but he was in the canal twice on a short walk dog just loves water no way I could float fish and keep an eye on the pond shark.

Just My take on prebaiting. If I can or think it's worth it I will do it, if I do it's tough if someone else fishes that swim, what I've been doing recently is baiting whole areas with handfuls so I always have a back up and can slot in wherever. would I tell them I had baited it? No I don't want to ruin their buzz, would I want someone to tell me they had been prebaiting if I caught on it? Course not. Neither would I want someone to tell me where they have been baiting. "Let me stop you there mate, I don't want to hear it because then I won't be able to fish any swims if everyone tells me their plans" If I see fish fizzing will I stick a rod on it. You bet your sweet bippy I will 😎 I think the moral of the story if you want to prebait, do it off your own back, don't rely on the kindness of strangers, and don't tell anyone. Be covert, be a secret squirrel. Oh yeah and don't be a Richard about it and ruin everyone else's fishing.

Hi all, apologies I know this is an old posting but it's the only information I can find on fishing the Bradmere Pool. If anyone have current information on how to enquire and fish this intriguing lake I'd be hugely grateful. I'm in the Whiddon Down area so quite local. Elliott. elliottmaltby-@hotmail.co.uk

To be fair I have only had one bad experience in regards to peg rage, the chap that dug his trench was more disappointed there really was only one peg worth fishing due to the summer pond weed growth. The one that was gonna blackball me had me slightly concerned, I was kind of off-side myself but oh well we move on, I'm mainly doing day tickets this year, found a nice local lake, you do hear it a lot, but this really is a mystery water, said to have a few large Barbel in it not been seen in years carp around the 30 same again, days only officially one of those waters where going in with heavy tackle is frowned upon, most of the day ticket waters near me are like that on their specimen pools due to them being a mixed specimen water not just carp.

Hi there friends I purchased a 1 man avid revolve Bivvy which the connection poles where a bit tight when erecting the Bivvy after a 24 hour sesh on water the problems started happning the connection poles would not come apart the bivvy material was 2 small for the frame making it impossible to take apart after 49 mins and help from another angler one of the poles at pegging point ripped off then managed to struggle with other poles to get down to say I was raging was an understatement I’ve herd the first batch had exact same problem but I had to wait a week and a half cause there were none in stock so there still sending bivvys out in this condition has anybody els had this experience thanks John

All of the above is why I quit the circus of syndi waters and concentrated on my club waters... , that said, even one of my clubs has waters where there is an air of entitlement about swims and baiting... I've turned up as one guy was packing up after his 48 hrs was up and he told me his mate is coming in after him so I couldn't have the swim... totally out of order... had a word with a committee member but it still goes on...🤷♂️🤷♂️ Sick of it really... the attitudes of some carpers leaves a lot to be desired...👎😒

A bait tester on a previous water used to go way too much on the pre baiting, never seen it myself but the guy worked for one of the big bait companies, he would put massive amounts into the lake, talking huge amounts into whatever swim he had fished never bothered me as i was doing fresh bait in small amounts, didn't see much point in hoofing loads of bait out.

The thing is the syndicate is normally very quiet, except between April and June, I can see no-one else in a week, with even no-one turning up on a Friday or Saturday. Nazeing Meads was busy compared to this lake, and even though Nazeing was season tickets there were less problems than the current 3month issue. On one trip I had walked round the whole 60 acres before seeing fish in Pylons, so set up in there. As I finished setting up the bailiff turned up, to fish and check tickets, and during conversation admitted he had been baiting up where I had seen fish, so I offered to move, he declined the offer and told me to stay put as I wasn't aware of his baiting. He even asked if I would mind him setting up next swim along, which despite being around 20metres away faced away at about 45⁰ so only just onto the end of the same gravel bar. No problem. We both caught, I think he had a couple of 20's and I had just the 1 fish at 32lb.
