  2. Yes I have read good things about those Okuma Reels I had the old Interceptors years ago and they were great reels Whats the quick drag like on them ?
  3. I haven't used them myself, but if you want a similarly priced bulletproof big pit that's smooth with an excellent drag, perfect line lay. I can recommend the Okuma 8k, honestly I've used them for 3 years or so now and they are still as good as when I bought them. They also come with a 5yr warranty. https://thetackletavern.co.uk/product/okuma-8k-carp-big-pit-reel/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21835214607&gbraid=0AAAAACLTViSbZ0Nj-jR2v3SlfHNiHvHdi&gclid=CjwKCAjwz_bABhAGEiwAm-P8YWOae89oupbUzW_XCgFo9cxFtIziyrkN-i4VUKqtIMysL7xapbXrChoCwS4QAvD_BwE

  5. Decided to change my reels and go back to QD instead of baitrunner Anyone using these Daiwa reels and how do you rate them ? Daiwa 20 Crosscast Reel 35 SCW 5000C QD
  6. I've owned 2 boats, one was cheap and awful, the other was an actor plus, which did the job better. Sadly it's hard to get decent and budget friendly boat, actors are OK, I used one in France but you really need a compass model so it drives straight. And the batteries seem to die very easily. These can be replaced but costly. While I might be at a disadvantage not owning a boat currently, I can't justify the expense of one that would do what I wanted.
  7. Well, i have placed an order for the super budget bait boat, been lurking on this for a good while, a mate has been saying dont get the cheap one it wont last but he forgets i build RC projects from drones to planes to rc cars and rock crawlers, i like to think i know a bit about RC stuff so if any thing pops i can fix and upgrade, also i think a boat to carp might look like a duck and just maybe less likely to spook them of

  9. One of last years stocking, I think went in at 11.12, now 19lb.
  10. Oh the bit on top, a tenner as a gesture of goodwill, thought that was a bit light myself, end of the day I'm not out of pocket, the fact they sent a barrister to defend a civil case in lower courts made me very wary of proceeding their legal bills were huge the lower court agreed I wasn't liable to pay them.
  11. Someone on the VE day flyover managed to get this picture, proper aerial view:
  12. Pain au Chocolat, chocolate croissants or chocolate brioche dunked in hot coffee, proper French breakfast. An absolutely wonderful fishing snack!
  13. Are you packing custard?
  14. I do really like apple pie and custard 😂
  15. The send button malfunctioned 😂
  16. Are you packing custard?
  17. Enforcement of a court order without the correct warrant not as drastic as it sounds, forced a payment out of me by threating me with bailiff action then tried to recover legal costs, it was at that point I took them to court for execution of a court order without warrant as they removed my property without my agreement to cover an outstanding debt, which I did owe and offered to pay they were asking for unrealistic instalments I couldn't agree to, so I let them do their worst knowing they would step over the line, the court order they had agreed I was liable for the debt and they could recover their money the way they went about it was a problem, for them. Couldn't get a solicitor to touch it on a no win no fee, Tort law which is complicated and they only do cases that are above 25k for the kind of lawyers that do this kind of a case it includes loads of consumer goods laws and protections, got my money back with a little bit on top.

  25. I had a cheap NGT brolly ( it was rubbish ) Seems like you need to spend £70 - £80 for a decent day shelter brolly I did have the AD Advanta Flatback brolly which was cheap but it was ok and a lacked space underneath. The Korum is worth it I feel
  26. Just looking at a Korum day brolly myself, not cheap are they, I still run on 1990s prices for brolly and similar even looked in the trusty argos catalogue they usually have a cheap version, nothing.
  27. Probably best you don't, you might be one of the unlucky ones who gets investigated by the post police, I could of took a short cut on a claim against me a few years back, would of got me paid out and all claims dropped, very underhand though, glad I took the long game, got paid in the end and all accounts are even.
  28. My Sonik hero x 10ft 3lb rods arrived while i was away, courier dropped them on footpath outside front door at 09.38, in full view of pavement and claims i signed for them but at that time i was 260 miles away from home, lucky my neighbour took them in, i am so tempted to file a non arrival claim but i dont like doing stuff like that, however the rods are very nice
