I wanted to buy a couple of the penn 525 mags but they dont make them in left hand wind. it is a multiplier though. wouldn't have thought that would be allowed now adays. -

That can't be left hand only can it surely there hasn't been a reel made since bluelabels era tackle that isn't ambidextrous? -
Just had a look on their website doesn't seem to be on there. I didn't realise Richworth were still going tbh not seen them in a shop for years.

Hi all ,the sonik turbospod reel is a great spod reel at a good price, but be aware that it is left hand wind only it is not ambidextrous though it does not make that much difference. right lines Graham.

I always used the richworth pop up mix when I rolled bait. Not sure if its still available but it was good in my opinion.

I've used a few AA Baits products now and they all seem decent so far. The fishmeal tropaminamino base mix smells like a real carp catcher. Adding the fishmeal base mix to the wafter mix made it a much stiffer mix and while I may have lost a little buoyancy from adding it they still waft a bit and will act more naturally than a traditional wafter I think and have a slightly more open texture.
-
Will say having used a couple of pop up mixes in the past, the best I found was BAF before they stopped selling it. AA would be my choice if I ever make any more though.

I know a few waters that did have Leney fish in, or one that more correctly Redmire progeny, but once stocked they reproduced with other strains, so a mix of Italian, Dinkselbuehl and Galicians/Leneys. Sadly old age and otters may well have made them extinct in Taverham Mills. This one was caught back in the 1990's, and comes complete with porn star moustache... It was one of the fish legitimately bought from Redmire when there was a successful spawning. You would have to see the Chris Ball and Chris Yates diary of stockings that they got from Donald Leney to see. As you say, not many originals around now, and quite possibly they have regressed. The ones that became records in Redmire were original stocked fish.

I decided to start making bait for myself recently, now I've got a lot of the bits I needed I thought I would start with some hookbaits. Not perfectly round but good enough đ 1egg, liquid preserve, 5ml creamy scopex, Betaine, milk B and butterscotch sweetener. Pop ups are mainline polaris dyed yellow and wafters are AA Baits pink wafter mix + a bit of tropamino basemix as I run out of wafter mix whilst mixing. I think the wafters turned out better and actually came out fairly round, both do what are they meant too when attached to a rig so that's good, now air drying and will give them a splash of extra flavour once they are dried, then all I've got to do another time is match the hatch hookbaits and start rolling kilos and kilos of boilies. Don't think I'll buy polaris again though will get some AA Baits pop up mix next time. I've also been using Copilot to make up loads of recipes, I've got 20kg of tropamino basemix to use up first though. But I've started down the rabbit hole.

I am assuming not many (any) waters have these now? If there are they are deff under the radar now I suspect. I did have the pleasure of catching some of the beauties back in the day from Horseshoe đđ Apparently this guy is still trying to keep the strain going: https://www.leneycarp.com/ Does it matter? probably not tbh, but fair play to the bloke đ

small update corus are still selling 1kg packs of nut cluster on ebay so picked up 3 packs, i still have about 5 kg in store so this will last me a good few sessions, i only do days as a rule and dont tend to put a lot of bait in

BaitâŚ. the most argued part of fishing apart from âwhatâs the best alarmâ welcome in
-
To be fair I'd rather be on fish with a tub of black foam than be miles away from the carp with the best bait in the world!đ
-
Bait â by far the most important aspect! What use is location and presentation if they wonât actually pick up your enticements?

Just joined, more a browser than anything else, interested in bait, less in tackle or methods so will watch and listen. Hello everyone.

Anglian water have a huge one in the pipeline. But itâs not started yet so funding may disappear. Similar to the Cambridge relocation. can imagine whatever has happened is very major and something they wonât want to admit publicly. The storm excuse is a cop out imo. It happened around our way ages ago at Pitsford, dead rabbit in one of the chambers, had to shut off and drain, sterilise and refill the entire system. The intermittent water supply will be because they are pumping potable water from tankers in to the system, hence a bit of stop start as pressure fluctuates. The entire situation will cost them tens, in not hundreds of millions at least. One thing I will note, developers only pay for direct infrastructure. Bill money is meant to pay for the rest which is wildly unfeasible. Wouldnât be surprised if they start getting charged for the site upgrades soon too. House prices might rocket or development slows though! btw I work in part of the industry so see the costs of things and whilst I canât reveal much, a housing development of 3000 homes paying ÂŁ1,200 a year wonât touch the sides on the upgrades or new works to deal with the flows.

Condition are looking really good for Friday down here, shame the cars off the road đ

We are an island surrounded by water global water means water levels rising why are we not investing in and building desalination plants we can drink water back to correct levels.publicly owned so the criminal water boards canât make obscene profits. would also look good on the green agenda đ

From what I understand,no new reservoirs have been built for around 40 years. Put that to the increase in population and demand, it's disgraceful that our most precious resource has been run for profit of investors. 6 days without water. Apparently due to a storm preventing sufficient treatment, along with the frost causing pipes to leak. Strange how weather is all of a sudden an issue?? They'd of blamed Bexit if they thought we'd believe it
