Hi mate I've got a burco, but I don't have a basket for it yet πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€£

It's took me just over an hour to do them all on the cooker 🀣 if I had to guess probably 8kg of bait πŸ€”

When I made my own bait, I used an old landing net mesh instead of a basket in my burco.Β

Appreciate it mate, I'll try and get something sorted for when I next roll, quite a nice burco, think it's like a 65l one but wide instead of tall πŸ‘πŸ‘

Gone for 18mm dumbells πŸ‘ even though it rolled well, I'm wondering if I added a little too much basemix, next time I'm thinking I might add like 100 - 200g less and let it rest a bit longer πŸ‘

That looks good.

Been prepping some particles over the last couple days, freezer full, some in the fridge and two full buckets over πŸ‘πŸ€£

Tidily packed, makes life easier and reduces freezer burn. Freezers work best when full, fridges work best with least full.

As much as I like a freezer full of particles, the ease of preparing means I don't really need a load done upfront, whereas boilies I do.

I might have to adjust the basemix a little or boil the hookbaits for a bit longer, I find they take on water quite quick and breakdown, ideal in the spod mix but as a hookbait I'm not so sure. After being on the rig for a couple hours you could squeeze them and they just go to mush lol.

I've only done it as I'll be on the bank pretty much all the time for the next few weeks so just being able to nip home and grab a few bags will be ideal πŸ€™I've got bags of tigers, pigeon conditioner, maize and hemp in the freezer ready to go πŸ‘πŸ‘

How about just making some harder hookbaits?

The quick breakdown for freebies is a big advantage.

Agree with Nick, I would look at making a 1 egg mix of hookbaits with 5-10% of either whey gel or blood plasma that should firm them right through leaving your hookbait in place whilst the feed is breakingdown

Thanks for the replies guys πŸ‘ I will get some bits ordered πŸ‘is there anything I could do as a quick fix for a session tomorrow? I have left over semo, soya flour, corn flour, wheatgerm if it helps? Or could I boil and dry them for longer?

You could nip down the supermarket and pick up some egg white powder i would use this at 10% (or 10g to 100g), this should harden the outer skin of the bait and take them long to break down.

Appreciate that mate will see what I can get πŸ‘πŸ‘

I really like to be using the same hookbait as to what I'm feeding lol, I've got some essential cell hard hookers for backup though mate πŸ‘

2 satchets of that to 100g will do it as a stop gap, it wont firm them through but will give the baits a hardened skin so will slow the water leaking into the hookbait

Brilliant mate, a 1 large egg mix works out to be able 135gΒ of basemix I believe but i think i made it a little too dry last time , so will try 1 medium egg, 10g egg white powder and 100g basemix πŸ‘ just gonna roll them into balls with my hand πŸ‘
