Dave812 Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 Hi folks do you know any venue/fishery that allows you to use a drone? Quote
framey Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 I dont know of any unless you are one of the great unwashed “professionals” doing a feature or promo video Quote
elmoputney Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 Should be banned,it is an invasion of my privacy filming me without my permission, unless you are paying royalties it's banned 😂 salokcinnodrog 1 Quote

framey Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 Could you imagine the scene 5000 acre ressie 10 anglers all fishing within 50 yards of each other because all the fish are spread out over 200 yards of one bank all these anglers sent up a drone to find the fish first from the car park… or just pull up to the gate on the local water leave the van running. send up the drone to find the fish then go home after 5 minutes because you couldn’t see them. Unless they are on the top of a gin clear water it is impossible to find them. Well at least on the waters I've tried. I'd of said binoculars would be more effective jh92 1 Quote
framey Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 I wouldn’t have thought there would be much difference tbh Quote

I'm bringing mine I could be bought tbh I would love some decent overhead shots of the lake I fish over the road 😂 For the record I can see the appeal but if your fishing and all of a sudden they are flying about overhead they are a tad annoying 😳 Quote
commonly Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 I've only ever seen them flying down the beach. Never when I've been fishing. I'm so boring that they wouldn't watch me for long. As I said, I've never been able to locate fish with it. At a certain height you wouldn't know it was there. A mate said, he's seen guys using pva string to drop rigs, I'm not that adventurous & I only have a lightweight one, so not sure how it would cope with the additional weight?? It's just a flying camera as far as I'm concerned elmoputney 1 Quote
jh92 Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 On the topic of drones, I seen a YouTube video of someone recording a drone with his drone, this person was using a drone to hover above fish and push them out of his swim.. War of the drones 🤣🤣 I don't have a drone but would like one 🤔 Quote

The angler who used it kept his ticket, but hasn't been back since. Quote
