motherhooker
Hi all Having real problems getting ring swivels for hooks for mounting baits. The problem is that the swivel eye is not big enough to go on hook tried bank tackle and fox but both too small the hooks are size 7 - 8 Any recommendations Thanks Ian
Salfordcarl
I might be completely off but don’t you mount the ring swivel on a “d” loop?

chillfactor
Your not trying to pass it over the eye of the hook are you ? Most micro ring swivels will pass over a micro barb . yonny and Its-grim-up-north
motherhooker
No I'm trying to go over the eye🙄 I'm not that daft I'm doing what's in the photo but having trouble with either the hooks too thick or swivel too small costing me a small fortune trying to find the right ring swivels
yonny
You're sure you're not using micro swivels? I've never seen a hook ring swivel that won't fit a size 2, let alone an 8.

Or the ESP pre mades , depending on what hooks you prefer to use . By the time you've bought all the swivels and stops it works out cheaper to buy the pre mades , then just add the hook length of your choice . ...
