  1. My res, it's nearly 2 miles away, have to put the front on my bivvy when I need a carp
  2. Trekker,£75, lasted 3 trips ( various other items from this firm, dog do, do, imo.) Greys, £70, lasted just over a year Sonik Vader X, still going £45 over 4 years. Recently, 2 Sonik STR 3.75 Tc both snapped after 7 years ( I don't go more than once a month and fish rock hard waters, so not exactly pulling them in. Sonik spod rod, top eye ring fell out within a month. No joy n return as brought from online stores & Eric's tackle. No response from Sonik?? I seem to live by the law of the sod! Landing net seems good for the money though, 2 piece, so good for stalking the margins in theory?
  3. I've never liked the look of these type of cookers/stoves, far too small, prone to going over. With my dinner in, no, no! Camping gas stove, comfortably takes my fryng pan. Millets shop today, £12 for 8 cans of gas. That will see me through the rest of the year.
  4. My mate J st got the jrc contact. 2 man, small bag and very light for the size. £150 you can't go wrong imo
  5. I would, I use a 50lb shock leader, after cracking off. Its never happened since. Great, simple knot for quick change.
  6. I often had to see a chiropractor, he used the one of these, or similar. Best £140 I've ever spent, better if you can get the missus or someone to do it, while you lay flat
  7. I think he's been banned. Say no more😶
  8. Blank for me at the resi, this weekend. Saw the owner on Sunday morning, he said nothings been out since last year. Water temperature is still below 12o, he seems to think they will switch on when it does. 3 weeks away until I can get back, I bet they start spawning, knowing my luck😏
  9. My view this morning. No carp out since last year on this resi😏 Maybe next trip 🤞
  10. Good luck fella. I've seen the full moon a few times this week and just wish I could be fishing 😭
  11. Good luck mate! Lovely morning to be n the bank
  12. Good to hear it mate. All the very best to you both
  13. Blank for me too! The bailiff said the same as above, no carp out since last year. Hopefully they will switch on in April when I next get out. Nice to get on the bank, though
  14. Got the green light for a 48 tomorrow 😎 Last trip of this year's ticket🤞
  15. Just a thought, try using different butt Gripz
  16. I use fox fine bait needle to thread the floss, baitstop and blob tag ends for that very reason! With all the money, kit, effort in prebaiting, loading and setting up, the last thing you want is to loose your hook bait.
  17. I use dental floss, no carp tax!!
  18. With the cost of living literally going through the roof and the wages still the same as 20 years ago, I'm afraid that crime will increase as people can't afford anything. The police haven't got the resources to cope, either. They are just like the tax man, looking for easy fines to dish out. Sorry if I'm being a bit negative, guys.
  19. Parasites mate. We've got a few pikey camps around, it's likely to be them. I do know a few people who know a few elders, but I'm not holding my breath. Good for your mate, I hope he gave him a good talking to?
  20. My fears of rising petty crime were realized today. 😭 My garage on the other side of town was broken in to. All my mates fishing gear(10 years WORTH) , some of mine (luckily I had most of my gear in the van) several power tools and anything they could sell for a few quid! I'm talking a big van load of gear, not just a few crackheads! They haven't damaged the standard lock, so must of picked it! I avoided doubling the locks as a few others have, so as not to attract attention Do I go and put locks on now? If they think I have replaced any gear, they are likely to return & will get in anyway.
  21. I don't know if I can take much more of this. I may have to have to take a look if this keeps on any longer👀👌😂
