  1. Trying his hardest to get you blacklisted from other lakes I bet.
  2. yes mate defo agree with that! defo looks toastier!
  3. Same again. That Sherpa lining looks so warm and comfy. it was a toss up between this and the new jrc one.
  4. Quick tip. Roll them down to the boot and youā€™ll get them on and off easily. Donā€™t wear them all the time as they be insufferable. alternatively if youā€™re going through the summer when itā€™s hot, you could always just buy some Ā£5 sea shoes and pack your trunks? Quick dip to cool down, dry off quickly and saved yourself a few quid!
  5. I dont see why it wouldnt work mate. I'd just check the ingredients to see if there is anything apart from pure salt in it!
  6. Im sure you can use it. What's your plan for it? Personally I use himalayan rock salt to add to spod mixes or to coat baits.
  7. This is key, freeze with the water its cooked in or normal water. Alternatively when defrosting make sure its covered in water or saved cooking juices. Otherwise you end up dehydrating it again. defrost 2-3 days beforehand too so it has time to soak the juices back in!
  8. Get a big stock pot from eBay, about Ā£15 I think. Some calor gas and a big camping burner and away you go. I moved on to this set up from a burco and itā€™s brilliant.
  9. Defo include tigers, maybe cut the pellet out due to higher oil content, or reduce the amount of pellet. I'm down to boilie and tigers only now for the winter.
  10. Interestingly enough I clicked on 100 of the larger dots and nearly every single one seems to have some form of mitigation either ongoing or agreed to be done in the next year or two.
  11. The government wrote the Water Framework Directive pretty much word for word in to British law, they actually tightened the chemical elements which made nearly every single river fail instantly. Only issue is, the EU used to fine Britain heavily for not meeting targets...I cant see the government fining themselves can you? The water company regulators have put in to the next pricing review targets (i'm not sure thats exactly what it's called. its the AMP26 I believe) about pollution and effluent and clearing it up. I have sat in on numerous Anglian Water workshops and meetings about local SWT plants on the Nene and how they are looking to combat not only the incidents of overspill and pollution but the general outflows. Funnily enough, as one industry insider put it to me, the water that comes out a treatment works is more heavily regulated than what comes out your tap!
  12. Friend of mine is doing well on the bug
  13. Fingers
  14. Second this. Mugga contis are a very strong hook.
  15. Either or. Depends on which pellet you use tbh. Coppens supreme or elite are good. Skretting premium is similar. The Aller Aqua pellets are good too now they are readily available. edit - salmon fry crumb is an incredible addition to bag mixes
  16. šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø Me next. I went to uni to study aquaculture and carried out multiple research studies on feed for skretting and coppens. Plenty of scientific bait stuff over 3 years.
  17. Looks like me before I got the manscaper out šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
  18. Yonny has photo albums full of fish to make you drool. Iā€™m not reading the entire thread but my guess is another scientist has appeared that doesnā€™t fully understand that no matter how much science you throw at it, carp fishing isnā€™t that simple. otherwise all the self proclaimed science gods over the years would be stupidly rich and dominate the bait marketā€¦which they donā€™t at all. Iā€™ve watched carp eat sweetcorn over trout pelletā€¦one is significantly better on paperā€¦ maybe the scientists can tell us why that happened. each to their own, donā€™t force it on anyone though, after all 90% of carp anglers go on experience and observations. No point telling people that have experienced the total opposite as you believe that they are wrong or whatever. Makes you look a fool
  19. If boilie prices are going down whilst ingredient prices go up then itā€™s either selling off old stock or the quality is taking a hit.
  20. I use an albright knot mate. Havent had one fail ever on me. Back to back grinner isnt a bad alternative either. I'm sure you know them but for any that don't https://fishingtackle.shop/blog/the-best-fluorocarbon-leader-knots/
  21. For a leader Iā€™ve used the avid outline. Very good IMO. Easy to straighten out with a quick tension of it. Very good abrasion wise and near as dammit invisible underwater.
  22. A very very limited one. Deadmanā€™s shoes scenario from what Iā€™ve heard taking to a lad thats on there this year. Believe he said thereā€™s a only a handful of known carp in there.
  23. I will second the BAF mix. I used Polaris and ccmoore prior to using BAF. Thereā€™s on winner hands down. I have 14mm pop ups holding up big size 4 hooks for days on end out in the lake. It also hardens up nicely to create a hard bait whereas the ccmoore mix used to create a more spongy bait.
  24. have a look at the fox splicing tool, not a needle, just twisted wire. works a treat and could probably make yourself at home for a quid.
  25. fox edges drop off run rig system is nice and tidy, only drops the lead when you need it too.
