  1. 99.9% of my pop ups are cork ball, so I couldn't use a swivel
  2. Combi rig is what I'm using most at the minute.
  3. That would be one enormous sack. You'd struggle to get that elephantitis ridden sack home
  4. Korda leadcore chod system Korda naked chod system
  5. Lake lodge fishing may be manufactured, but the fact that you also get to spend good time with the family is an acceptable compromise to me. I love to 'natural' waters (for want of a better expression). But I'm happy to compromise that and fish pretty much anywhere if I can combine it with quality family time.
  6. So it's cheaper to buy it in 1Kg bags then Time for a price drop on the 10Kg bucket methinks
  7. I'd also fish a bottom bait, but if I were to use a pop up, it would be a hinged stiff rig. And welcome to the nuthouse.
  8. There are three smilies after the question mark ( )
  9. Below is a screenshot of my PC using Internet Explorer. And it's not just when they are quoted Stevo, it is when they are posted as well.
  10. I normally use Google Chrome. With that browser, I see nothing at all (I know that something is missing as your first post is literally nothing (And I've seen that a few times)) I've just looked at the thread on Internet Explorer and all of your last three posts have a blank square in them; so no mate, no difference this end. What browser are you using?
  11. The Woking & District Angling Association have four lakes that are just down the road, but they want additional cash if you want to fish nights (Something that I think is a proper liberty )
  12. A club just down the road would be your best bet
  13. I cook on unleaded petrol. I've had the Coleman Sportster II for a couple of years and think it's fantastic, would never go back to gas on the bank. My breakfast is sausage, egg and bacon. cooking it a little slower isn't going to make it more healthy My evening meals are more geared to faster cooking (As I only use one ring) which are normally a reheated curry and smash.
  14. I like the look of them, just not convinced that they would burn well enough using twigs etc. from the bank and I've never seen biomass pellets for sale in small quantities. I don't want to wait ages to cook my breakfast / dinner.
  15. I'd have to say the combi rig. I'm, confident that most of the time it resets itself, and it can be used with any bait.
  16. Did you say his name was Bill or Garfield
  17. LOL Sorry mate, I can't help either but if you call Emma Phillips on 07840 881970 she'll be able to answer all if your membership questions.
  18. Check the map here to see if this is the water. The only other information that I can find is 10 years old: Becontree & District Angling Club 32 Ashburton Avenue, Ilford. (Mr. C. Morris)
  19. I've used mine numerous times for the last two years on unleaded. No problems whatsoever.
  20. There's nothing to be ashamed of mate, especially as you caught with it. I've always fished as lightly as possible, but that's not to say it's the only way.
  21. I'd be using 10 or 12lb if there were minimal weed and snags.
  22. What does the PVA Nugget do, prevent tangles ? The main reason is so that if the bottom bead moves, or if you are only fishing a couple of inches above the lead, the hook won't get blunted if it knocks against the lead. But it also gives me peace of mind that there will be no tangles (I know that Newmarket says helicopter rigs don't tangle, and in the main this is true, but there is always a chance that it hits the water at a weird angle and gets wrapped up) and the rig will present itself nicely. And the final reason is that when the nugget hits the surface you have something to aim for if you are putting in some freebies around your hook bait.
  23. I still use rig tubing. More important though (IMHO) are anti tangle sleeves and either a PVA nugget, a small stick or a PVA bag.
