If you can travel, look at Little Farriers or Churn Pool, both in the Cotswolds

We've just booked a cottage in Cornwall, it's got 4 pools stocked with carp to 20lb( allegedly) along with tench and crucians, will fish early morning and evening can't wait now
If solid bag fishing I always fish a popup on a 3-4 inch supple braid hook link, with an AA shot about an inch from the eye of the hook, bagged up on little farriers with this set up:wink:
Welcome aboard
Heard today that there'd been a fish kill on The Avenue and had been closed, syndi members had been allowed to fish The Monument, it's also now had a fish kill, rumour is the 60lber was lost
Think you'll find, Nathan, that no-one thinks boillies are the be all end all, maggots are a fantastic bait for carp, as is sweet corn, hemp, tigers, and loads more others
How you know for sure it won't, 1 hook nailed in bottom lip , 1 flying hook, what's to say the 2nd hook can't nail the top lip, they are designed to do that you know
Right imagine this Nat, big hook in bottom lip, hair with 2nd hook slightly long, during fight 2nd hook catches top lip effectively sealing fishes mouth shut. If fish can't open mouth it dies, simples. Or it's mouth is ripped to shreads
Don't like it never will, no matter which high profile tit says its good
Don't like maggot clips, and deffinatley don't like the idea of putting 2 hooks in a carps mouth, saw the rig you described years back, didn't like it then , less so now
