I think it is more not the time to experiment, that could have been the biggun, or the linear I really want to catch, now my owny concern is whether I put enough bait out earlier, I can hear a fairly decent acoustic band tonight, quite country they played the gambler and they have a girl singer who sounds really good. Would prefer to hear my bite alarm screaming though

Phwoooar that's a ripper. Well done that man.

I've quit on slip D rigsπ 1 bite, one loss, my rods now all have classic spinners on again. π You can't shortcut rig confidence. I've moved and I'm in the right zone, come on the chunky ones.
-
Let's see if the baiting has paid off, considering I am a bit poorly it went pretty well 2 rods together on a spot with 200 baits around them and a 3rd off to my left on a cheeky lil spot I've been cultivating with a carp grenade and a few loose fed boilies, come on the carps. Carp grenade incoming.

Not a family name I could support would rather they were called granny freezer baits or something.

Jrc cocoon bedchair must be early 2000s it's a bit battered, been moused, replaced the cord for zip ties, but it still gets used by my daughter and it's not a bad back up bedchair. I sometimes use it if I want to travel light because it weighs nearly nothing. Still got the cyprinus bunker that comes out for winter when I want a wrap or bivvy with a front. That's done me well. (I have just thought I might need to fix it though either that or I may have already bodged it, can't remember nowπ³) I'm on my 2nd ngt coolbag after the first one got moused but they seem to last quite well. Great value for money. Everything else seems to break,or I get bored and swap it for shiny new stuff.

Just the name annoys me, they could be the best boilies in the world and I wouldn't use them.

I like the claw hammer for an unsharpened hook they are naturally pretty sharp.
-
Conditions look perfect, probably shouldn't have spombed the granny out of it for a 2hr session π¬

They love garlic because it can help them get rid of parasites.

Yeah I think they will work nicely tbh but only time will tell. Thanks I don't think I've got any silicone that size at the moment, will get some and have a try. I don't mind having to tie a whole rig everytime if it means it's perfect. Shrink tube heating can be a chore though, would probably mean just doing some in advance at times.

First attempt size 4 ESP Claw hammer 20lb hybrid stiff. The business end 2nd attempt J Precision long gape, n trap soft I think I prefer option 1 so far. I also need some bulk shrink tube lol.
-
Thanks Do you use the silicone like M Holly? If so does it stop the hook pulling like a traditional multi rig?
-
Yep coating back to below the shrink tube kicker so it can turn a bit more freely

With my spinner rig becoming pretty much completed and I don't think there is anything more that can really be done with it. I'm a bit bored of it now,π¬ Time for a new challenge. I'm going to only use slip d rigs from now and see where that takes me, something Kev said got me thinking about all the clutter on rigs so I thought it might be nice to lose some of it, and go back to basics. I'm going to start with a shrink tube kicker and probably a wide gape as I felt that looked pretty good when I tied some up the other day. I like the fact I can get some seperation and also have a nice low pop up. I tied some up using a coated braid but, one thing I do like about my. Spinner rigs is the use of stiff boom material ironically called Boom. So I will try and incorporate that at some point. Once I've played some more I will add some pics and stuff

Went for a few hours today, nothing else to say about it really, had a sandwich and some millionaire shortbread, the morrisons garage on the way now has a Greggs just hope it doesn't get looted before I try it π
-
No problem they are just quite enormous π Thanks π
-
Thanks are there any others that are better, I want some for fishing and dog walking?
-
Yes I mean that man π

I've read lots about them being great, are they great for bulky calved gents like myself?
