Yeah the same as me lol I once found this hump in a swim on the Deeper where it was about 2ft shallower,I thought that would be perfect to set a trap, I've never found it with a lead and I can't find it with the Deeper anymore either. I will try and upload some screenshots to highlight what I mean when I can
-
Good luck ππ

I've got some 18mm mdf in stock that I can trim down at workπ, turns out I have security anyway, blooming massive it is
-
Good idea it does need some work really will get on it π
-
Hopefully I won't do that lol I may only use a few though, I am glad I kept the magnetic storm poles now too off my brolly that will make it even quicker to put up, it's a little taller than the tempest too at 137mm tall which will be good for my back. That plastic spreader block on the axs doesn't seem that solid tbh, could break quite easily I think but like most things if it can be broken I am sure I am the man to break it π
-
Went up really easily, not sure I will get accessories as its mainly going to be used spring summer and autumn, I have my bunker for winter with wrap, although the wrap does sound better than a front

I've just decided I am going to rejoin next year, have paid and have decided to just fish better with spawning coming up will give me some time to remap some of less familiar/popular swims and create some spots in the weed ready for more night mode stealth ops ππ

This finally arrived this morning had a bit of hassle getting it with a few issues from the ebay seller but after a couple of weeks I got it a rand spanking new sonik axs shelter for Β£95, well impressed with the erection time and even without pegs or storm poles it seems pretty sturdy

I got all emotional when I leftπ³, I've asked for a couple more days to think about it but I think I am giving it one more year the fish are growing nicely too, when I left it was empty and all I could hear was the birds and the knobby geese, but it reminded me why I like being there so much, what I decided was that I have been fishing like a noddy for the last 2 years, I'm giving up tech not the lake I think π€£ Everything that usually goes wrong is because of tech yesterday i checked my spots with a lead, and cast all fine, the only times things went wrong were when i used the boat, also the accuracy annoys me, I got all my line caught in the prop. I got carried away with the 3kg payload and the deeper seems to be a bit tory and makes up lies too. And I am going to try this using less bait business although I may use the boat for prebaiting and spot clearing because it's easier than spombing large amounts π

If it helps i don't think I've got it that right lol. I managed to foul hook a mid 20 mirror last night sadly (got it in, treated it and went away fine) but it was Emptying out my bait on the mat so it must have been troughing, my main spot that's seen a lot of bait seems devoid of fish at present managed to sneak this one out the margins though using only a couple of handfuls π only a bubba but quite a nice bubba. It feels pretty weird this being my last morning on here, I've had some glorious highs and some quite big lows tbh, it is far from complete but that's OK, I can always come back another year, for now I need a change. It's not the end Rodney just Bonjour.

They taunted me all afternoon, I may have overdone the baiting, but I guess the Rudd will have done some damage, hopefully we can nick one overnight or in the morning though.

6 and a bit will do for me today. The over half a year blank is over π€―ππ They were literally ripping it out of me for hours this morning, topping, fizzing and making me think my rigs were broken etc etc etc. When finally it went into meltdown and tore through a good few pads along the way, I'm off the mark, come on the carps, bloke next door had a 32lber this morning that was a lovely fish I want one of those next please π
-
Rods are all out 1 solid bag, 2 on spinners, lakes busy but I got my old favourite haunt so I am happy I cast them all too rather than use the boat,5 casts to get 3 rods with drops I'll take that, although I have since dumped 3 boat loads of bait out was a bit like Dover to calais crossing for a bit π All in all solid start, confidence is high, just had a liner come on the carps.

Lucky it feels miserable here, this last 30 mins is taking forever.
-
I've just been outside and it's raining and grey, I did also pack some sun tan cream though, πβ Good luck

Hurry up 2pm, I've got a car locked and loaded and I'm ready for action. Hoping I can get a half decent swim this weekend.
-
They were dark mix and hemp they now house boilies been saving the last of my retro baits Shropshire Gold for a special occasion this seems to be it, just got some partiblend and tigers which I will add some corn too for colour. A big bucket of pellets, a bucket of Pva mix pellets, a good few kilos of boilies in different shapes and sizes, start off heavy then just keep topping it up if I get a biteπ It's not really excessiveπ³, just think it feels like the time to go for it.
-
It's the final countdown to the final weekend on this place, I have been granted a rare 2 nighter and I plan to make the most of it, the only preconceived idea I have is I'm going to make it a banquet for them, got loads of pellets, loadsa boilies and some particles and I'm gonna use it, π

Sunny cambridgeshire is that where you thought?
-
Sounds promising, it's always good to talk about things, you can't sacrifice everything that makes you happy in life mate not a good thing to do. Hopefully you find a decent solution soon.
-
I've been there I've had some right old dogs, but you just have to keep trying, buy them off old people that's usually a good sign, don't buy them from cities and the seaside, look for a low mileage one that's been looked after well, japanese cars are usually not too bad, volvos and things that aren't fashionable too usually work OK.
-
That sounds drastic mate, don't sell up, maybe just try and do some overtime and save up for a new carp mobile

I think that i may do I would like to think I am leaving in good terms just feel like I am going through the motions and it's getting boring tbh, I've got some decent day tickets locally that I could pop on for a night, and a bit further a field there is Stanwick, trent view, bluebells, orchid, linear the cotswolds etc and tonnes of others, always fancied a trip to yately, there is plenty to keep me going even the odd noddy lake for a fun day. and you know maybe some of you guys could do a guestie for me ππ But I enjoyed the planning of the French trip and if I could do a week in France each year I would be well happy, and each little uk trip would be a bit like that too, I found a banging lake in France I want to try looks cracking, weed to the surface with sandy clear spots, you can hire a boat and stuff looks pukka, mint carp and a week is about Β£450 with crossing included (not rediculous) And if i get fed up with the busyness there is an ultra hard big pit not too far from me lol, I'm on a couple of waiting lists still so I may not have to wait too long Time for a different challenge, I've told the family I am doing a final 2 nighter next weekend and that's it last chance for a 30 from there.
-
I've maybe come to a decision to give up on the syndicate, with nothing concrete in place to replace it π³ I quite like the idea of going to a few premier day tickets and having a week in France. Is that bonkers?

Today i have been mostly messing with a QC Choddy, tungsten dropper goes over the qc swivel on the leader once attached, so now I've prepped for nearly every eventuality.π³ I've also thought of a great way to use Pva nuggets threaded onto a Pva stringer for a parachute effect which should give you a nice soft landing and float to the surface once the stinger melts without risking a blob of Pva left on your hook point and couple of freebies around your hook bait, I give myself an A for effort today π
