  1. Thanks for the reply greekskii, I think the switch sounds like an odd bait if I am honest, sounds like a hippy bodybuilders clean eating type of bait with pea protien etc I tried pea protien once when I was into fitness and it was horrible, S7 on the other hand does sound like a nice bait and I think you are right it does seem to be slk or S7 that are the main 2 that catch from what I can see,
  2. Has anyone tried DNA baits before? I like the look of there post free deals and premier baits have just put the prices up on matrix so I am having a rethink,in the back of my mind I know the matrix would work OK but it's been out years and years and I've not built up loads of confidence in it yet, I quite fancy trying one of these newer baits on the market and the S7 sounds good, I quite like the range of hookbaits available as well, and the fact you can get dumbells, I just think DNA have some fresh looking ideas, has anyone tried them, ?
  3. Bank tackle putty is good £4.79
  4. Apparently eating garlic helps, I keep getting savaved though I might try some jungle formula or something Do citronella candles do anything I got one of those somewhere
  5. I've been inspired thanks harpz31 B ream Spomb the Base The rolling stonz The grateful deadbait
  6. Bank tackle braid is good it came this morning, I've just tied up 6 multi rigs with it and there continental hooks, looks a rig that will work a treat
  7. Maybe that is answer, they may be suspicious more of boilies, as they more often than not they are a hookbait and they feed happily on the particles knowing they are safer And especially with hemp as people don't tend to use it as a hookbait at all really
  8. I wouldn't feed boilies the way people feed maggots though, people seem to think they all dive into the silt or wriggle away to safety as soon as they hit the bottom, which they don't they drown, so they spomb out tonnes which leads to them getting preoccupied on them, and also finding an easy meal as there is an abundance of maggots on the bottom, Personally I always like to have different items available different sizes, shapes, colours, textures and flavours etc so they don't get used to feeding on one sized thing, even if I just fished boilies I would still use 2 sizes and chops and some crushed ones
  9. Perhaps this would be a good approach coming into winter though, thinking about it, they would certainly eat more than boilies, angler pressure is down could be a good cost effective winter baiting method
  10. The main trouble I see with just baiting with maize is that if everyone else is using boilies they would still fill up on that first as it meets there requirements quicker and I believe carp will always take the easy option, although I do agree if you got them to feel confident feeding on it then it would make them more catchable and if you covered a lot of the pre baiting in the lake yourself then over time you could train them,
  11. I would've said mintoes but getting them on the coke might be an expensive business
  12. This could be a good idea I think feeding the ducks off isn't a bad idea tbh would certainly help anyway If we used baking powder maybe they may explode 🤔😁
  13. Funnily enough all my tench and bream have come when using plain hemp and boilies, when I've used mixed particles I just attract the birds,
  14. I would like to just be able to use maize but in the shallow lake I am fishing the ducks and swans would eat it all before it even saw a fish, its just too visible, even if you use it to prebait those pesky blighters seem to remember your spots and wait for you to turn up
  15. Totally agree with you should be the perfect pop up rig for me at present I run out of my esp coated braid today just ordered some of bank tackles coated braid, I got sent a sample of it and I liked what I saw, I do like there hooks as well tbh, got a few different types to play with now,
  16. I seem to be able to harm that all by myself 😀 Seriously though it seems like a great solution to the weedy silty situation I find myself in, and I reckon them wiley carp won't be able to resist for long
  17. I had some emails with Tony the other day he sent me a little sample of goooed up and matrix soaked bottom baits there is no going back now they smell fantastic can't wait to try them out and I shall be using the same for all my baits smells like a winner to me
  18. I tie up a lot of rigs usually until they become second nature I find it's the only way to learn about how it works, what I think I like about the multi rig is the fact it should spin and hook more takes, I got done a few times by bream the other weekend so improvents can be made this looks like it could work better
  19. Don't worry yonny i will keep trying to make it better here is no 2 much better 👍
  20. My first multi rig probably a bit high but may still work, need a smaller loop but I went for 2 stops I wasn't happy with 1 I wanted to take it off and turn it but it was stuck on so I added another, and actually I quite like how it works having the loop sit between the two,
  21. The greatest WWF wrestler of all time Rowdy choddy piper The red hot chilli hempers
  22. Thanks that's what I just wanted to know about the rig, just that it was tight when it needs to be really against the eye, no one really shows you what they end up like only when they are new and shiny I will try and watch the Jules vid when i get a chance should be useful
  23. Should be more proper music in carp vids I think, don't get me wrong I did enjoy the odd rave in my youth but I don't want to hear toned Down beats I want metal or punk in a carp vid, would be much better even some nice acoustic For a bit of fun Fishing related bands Slipknot, Zig-gy Stardust The Carp-enters Tench Cc Papa roach Rod pod Stewart Anyone else?
  24. Guys I've got a multi rig question, I've been watching the vids on how to make it and it doesn't seem to have a tight knot,at the hook end I get you have pulled the hook through the loop so its like the 2 loop marker set up but I have always pulled that tight and it has the other knot to tighten to , does the knot pull tight on a take with the multi rig ? I just don't quite understand the mechanics of it
  25. From all Ive read and heard about Jules he really does seem one of the good guys, always seems positive and really enjoys what he does, we could all learn a lot from him I think
