  1. I honestly could't comment on that :
  2. yeah good idea ,let vinyljunkie test it out mate pint for the winner
  3. yeah and they also say heathrow is 1hour from my house and i do it in 40 min. never trust the aa route finder
  4. m11 ,m25, m3 hour tops. what do you drive ? a massey fergison 1hr 30 in rush hour maybe.
  5. isn't sandhurst a cemex plus water now.? if you could get on that is a better choice than pads. more fish to be had
  6. it does get booked up. fished the place last year with a few friend. amazing place. would love to fish it again.
  7. pads lake yateley mate, 50 mins from you ,
  8. holme grange isnt that good tbh, i fish yateley and dinton. will pm you mate got just the place for you.
  9. i'm in binfield mate, plenty of lakes around. do you have transport? bracknell alone has about 5 lakes , but if you drive out 10 or 15 mins there must be 20 odd lakes, welly park, yateley, frimley, dinton , theal, wraysbury, lots of day ticket waters the list is endless.good place to live if you fish
  10. very well put , as usuall
  11. the tubing is to prevent tangles and protect the carps scales.I personaly dont use any tubing just mainline straight through to the hook link.again this is a personal choice but i find tubing to obtrusive,it sticks out on the lake bed. i know you can buy tubing that is camo ie silt, weed coloured but its very hard to match up to whats on the bottom.but as i said thats a personal choice ,so thats up to you to decide.
  12. the basic running rig should cover most situations. its also a quite a safe set up.
  13. if you use the search facility there should be a few threads on there that could help you out.
  14. i was makeing a few rigs up today and was trying out different hair lengths, so i was wondering what length hair do you use. do you find shorter hairs work better than longer or viseversa?
  15. always amazes me how people come up with these things.
  16. how does this work then, is it the fizzing noise attracting the fish? a flavour or additive in the tablet
  17. would the fizz not put the fish off? hav'nt heard of this rig.
  18. to be honest mate there isn't any real reason to use a leader, if your using flouro it will probably be 20lb so will offer no more protection than your main line. If its concelement your after just uses a good quality main line .
  19. i would use a flat pear but not inline as this will drag your bait into the silt. if the silt is 2 ft and you have a 6 inch hook link then thats 18inch of silt covering your bait. running rig or semi fixed i find work well in deep silt.
  20. spot on why did,t i say that?
  21. thats answered my next post good man tony
  22. the pva bag or stringer seems to be the choice for most so i will give that ago. I was actually thinking of trying a combi rig, so will go with both and see how it goes. thanks alot fella's for the advice great as always
  23. with the zig you need to find the right depth the fish are cruising. no point fishing 10ft length if the fish are at 5ft. i would start fishing at half depth then work up in the water from there as the session went on.
  24. the max distance i'm casting is about 50yards. But most of the time its margin or close in at about 15to 20 yards. Have thought about using a coated braid stripped back to about 3inch before the quick link, to act as a sort of boom. The problem with that is i loose the camo element of the rig as i cant find a coated braid that comes close to the bed colour. I managed to find a supple braid that is a close match after a lot of searching. The carp are very weary and the water is quite clear .
