  2. Another good water. and again busy but thats the price you pay for a good session on a decent dayticket water.
  3. Well you must be the only person then fella. to phone Yac or cemex office and get a ticket for your chosen day is rare. unless you are a gold card holder? but even then you have to book on.
  4. Sandhurst for me, got lots of good fish to 40lb.probably the best day ticket water in the country, hence the very, very long waiting list.
  5. bottom baits use a hair, pop up use floss, ballanced baits i tend to use the hair. Just my choices, they work for me but.
  6. I use these. Always have a few different weights in the box.Work well for me.The elastic in the middle is a good idea., no line damage.
  7. Yateley sandhurst lake with fish over 40lb. or book the pads just for you and your mates.
  8. Great bloke doing great work with ECHO ,
  9. Great fishing fella. you had a good haul there mate well done
  10. sorry robbie we kind of hyjacked your thread mate
  11. ph they get a bit funny but hs is cool mate, bream and tench in there, some nice carp , nothing massive but a chance of a 20.
  12. pole is always busy ,the causeway swims are weeded up alot. the fish are holding up there though so find a spot and it could be good fishing.
  13. I'm off to oxford monday evening for 3 nights fishing will be back on yateley tue or wed.sent you a pm about split. had a walk around the other day busy. bit weedy in the bay next to pads.is steve your dad?
  14. just got micky's book and robs , dont know which 1 to start with.both had great reviews on other forums.
  15. true but still a fantastic lake with great carp.
  16. you will love the place, proper carp lake, steaped in history.great fish. you will have the place to your self, and only four going make sure you get some stalking in fella.
  17. Pads is a great lake , but is quite weedy at the moment. I had a walk around 2 days ago the bank backing on to the split is quite bad.As for tips its the same old with yateley, have a good look round fish are faily easy to spot. bait wise they will take anything tbh. There has been some good fish out over the summer mostly coming from the carpark end.the bank backing on to southlake seem popular with regular visitors aswell.Yateley angling centre can give you all the latest info so speak to ruth or one of the lads and they will sort you out.Good luck mate and let us know how you get on.
  18. cemex +does',t operate anymore. Just go into yateley angling centre and buy a ticket. Sandhurst is booked solid at the moment, southlake is a bit quieter (on there now) You can also buy a season ticket(silver or bronze) from the shop.
  19. I like that sturgen ,i have had sturgen to over 60lb on the fly in france they fight like nothing else ive caught. I'm off to france in 2 weeks for a 4 day fly fishing trip on some great rivers .Great fishing mate and a great read.
  20. Dont take this the wrong way fella's because i dont mean to cause offence but just because you don't catch does'nt make the place poor, also its run as a business ( mainly summer trade) so naturally the owner is going to squeeze every penny he can out of visitors.I have been and caught fish, have been pressed to buy everything from t shirts to season tickets and i just said i was here for fish not shopping and was left alone.I think the family owners do a good job ,better than a majority of fisheries in this country.Yes it can be slow fishing but so can every lake in the country thats why we call it fishing not catching .
  21. Depends what lake you want to fish , sandhurst is packed untill october, southlake is worth a go, usually get on no probs. week days are your best bet.call yateley angling centre ,ruth will know whats available on both dayticket waters.
  22. Yateley Cemex complex has 11 lakes , the match, north and carpark are gold card lakes(syndicate). The pads lake , this is booked on its own for sole use of up to 10 people. Then there is silver permit, nursery, split, pumphouse, horseshoe and summerpit and the river blackwater. Then you have day ticket southlake and sandhurst lake the last 2 anybody can fish. All lakes hold fish over 30lb .The split and match have big catfish also. all lakes are secure with a padlocked gate or combination lock on the dayticket waters.Sandhurst lake is the most popular dayticket water as it holds fish over 40lb , I have been told its booked up untill october.Church farm is not part of yateley, although you can get tickets for it from yateley angling centre, Also close by are frimly pits also part of cemex.
  23. dave is right it was rammed over th eweek end. There are afew swims that can be problematic ,share the same water. try south lake not busy and some decent fish over 30lb . or invest £50 a get a season ticket for yateley complex.
