I cannot see any reason an inline set up would cause more damage than any other type of set up. Regards dropping the lead, horse for course innit. If you need to drop it due to snags, weed, whatever, then yes - drop it. If you don't need to, then don't! No point in littering the lake bed for a laugh.

Totally agree. The show is not a fishing programme. It is 2 guys big enough to make a comedy about how they've come to terms with their health problems. It just features a bit of fishing. A really unusual concept and one you have to admire them for.

That dodgy quick change clip aint part of the Korda cog kit, makes me wonder if they've bodged it all together out of random bits. Maybe the swivel barrel that fits the lead is different too, which might explain why it's not released the lead. All what? If used correctly there's nowt wrong with tubing and a lead clip imo, cog or otherwise.

The rubber is clearly jammed on too tight but on paper this set-up is safe no? I don't like the look of those cog jobbies, tangle city imo.

Decent camera mate. No flip screen so you'll have to practise getting your framing/set-up right (do this at home and not on the bank with a fish in the net lol), but the camera/lens is capable of decent results. You'll probs want to upgrade the lens to a prime lens at some point.

So it is just about the money then 🤣😂😜 Delkim do not want to be known as the best selling mid-priced range of alarms. They are top shelf, big ticket, and you pay for it. That's their business model, their intended image within the market. They have never had a budget/mid-price model - just a pricey remote model and a pricey none-remote model. If we want cheaper remote alarms Delkim are the not where we will find them. I would add - imo it would be commercial suicide for them to bring out a mid range remote alarm with the vibro/stylus technology. They'd never sell another TXI again.

I don't get you point at all mate🤣 So your point is Delks are too expensive? End of the day you can pick up a none-remote alarm for a tenner, or you can go for the top shelf Delks at 60. If you want remote you can get cheapo alarms or you can get Delks at 135 a pop. It's the same with all the top end alarms - Fox, Nash, Nevs, etc etc. You can always go budget - JRC, Prologic, Wychwood etc. No one is forced to buy top end stuff.

But then everyone would be paying for remote capability they might not want. That's an extra 75 quid per alarm for the Delks😲

Exactly. They do two versions. The TXI (remote version) @ 135 quid, and the EV (none remote) @ 60 quid. If they made the EV remote it would be a TXI!
