  1. Add into that the security the venue offers, the first class toilet and shower blocks and the fish stocks (which are all belters) and you have ticked everything you asked for.
  2. But you said you were going to South Wales anyway and wanted to kill two birds with one stone - hence the recomendation of Horseshoe that is on the way there! £1 an hour is as cheap as it gets for a decent day ticket. And seeing as its 36 hours you wanted to do, you only pay £36. Other day ticket waters may make you pay for 48hours to do the 36!
  3. Horseshoe is on the way to South Wales from the Midlands!
  4. Horseshoe, no contest for what you require. It ticks all your boxes.
  5. Gaz, have a word with coops. Msg and caramel has already been done to great effect on a bait we were using a few years ago. I still have some of the base mix left in my shed but the rats have been at it!!!!
  6. Ofcourse not buzz. And thanks everyone.
  7. To be fair though Phil, I was listening to this anyway. I found out that my best mate from Bristol died suddenly last week. He was a massive city fan so been playing my wurzels albums smiling away remembering him. I'm so glad that Bristol City won the league now. His last few weeks would have been a happy time celebrating. I'll be having a few ciders for him after his funeral on Friday, that's for sure.
  8. Just testing one for you Phil! You wurzels are rubbish when it comes to technology!!!! http://youtu.be/z570J471aSI
  9. Enjoyed that second half. Was loading the car up for tomorrow during he first. Was it just as good Dal?
  10. Not saying there ain't any in there, just not seen one in a good few years in welshpool
  11. Lots of tench and bream. Some big roach at Welshpool basin. Havent seen a carp for 5 years though. I used to walk it every day during lunch before I switched roles at work. It was between my office and the shop where I get my lunch from!
  12. Try acorn fishery at Kingston Seymour / yatton
  13. Not been to see the musical yet. It's on the list. I did see the buddy holly story when it was running in 89 or 90 though. That was awesome.
  14. Just bought the best of frankie valli and the four seasons. Love their songs. It's a tustle in the car now between them and buddy holly and the crickets.
  15. I've had foam hold up a few worms on a chod section. I can't see a few maggots effecting it as pictured!
  16. It was freezing. Didn't see a Marshall for hours. Zipped up the bivvy to have a dump in the bucket and carrot man (Marshall) opened the door as I was mid drop! "Is the kettle on nige"? "It's not that what you can see steaming carrot man"!!!!!!! Lol
  17. Yes mate. Woke up to two feet of snow on the first morning! Lol
  18. Draw the rig out twice. One with a grinder type knot, the other with a loop. The one with the loop will spin so much easier than the one tied tight to the swivel.
  19. Found it! http://www.carp.com/topic/17242-alternatives-to-floss-for-baiting-chod-rigs/
  20. Can't find the one for the actual chod section but the following contains a good bit of information and ideas from a few members: http://www.carp.com/topic/14126-chod-chod-chodyy-chod-chods-rant-and-rigs/
  21. Palomar knot is a mare to tie with stiff material. The only time I use a grinner is in stiff filament. I tend to just do a two or three turn. Its so stiff, it wont slip. My favorite knot for chods though is a figure of eight or the perfection loop. Gives the rig so much more ease of movement.
  22. I'll have a look in a bit. Just got to go and muck the horses out and put the beds down.
  23. If you still can't get the curve right. Hold the tied rig around a round object; a pice of pipe insulation/lag is ideal. Then steam over a kettle for a short while. You can store your rigs like this as well. This will help have an ideal 'bend' to your rig. Mine are almost straight. Just a slight curve.
  24. One little tip. The stiff material you use for chod sections has a natural curve to it as it comes off the spool. Use this to your advantage when positioning the hook before you start your turns on the knot less knot?
