  1. Managed to get more than a night in at the lake for the first time since may. Trapped my fingers in the car door, fell out of a tree watching some carp feed on a margin spot I've been baiting and almost snapped a rod on one of the 3 swim moves! All came good in the end though with 3 fish. I certainly had to work for them mind!
  2. It's a little bit special mate. Will sort you out a guest session one day!
  3. Average for the lake that one mate!! Lol
  4. I have a feeling that it's a salmon parr. The one spot on the gill cover and also the defined markings on its flanks. Looks to have more of a forked tail than a trout does too.
  5. got up early this morning and grabbed a couple of hours down the lake. Had this one after 20minutes.
  6. If you had the full lake booked, I'm sure 8 wouldn't be an issue. 6 is for keeping the peace in genral booking terms. Same as churn. If it was a general day ticket, 4 would be a maximum but with the whole lake booked (the only way he books people on) you can get 6 on. However, it's much better with 4.
  7. It's in the middle of nowhere and has no passing traffic etc so safe as your house to leave if you all wanted to go into town (3 miles) for a curry. The swims are all doubles really so if two rods each, shouldn't be too much of a squeeze. Probably better suited for 8 not 10 in all fairness. I think with the numbers, you will struggle to find something of perfect size for exclusive and accommodation.
  8. It's my mates lake. I've not fished it but have been up there for walks etc. Some good mid thirties in there. Lovely posh cabins as well!
  9. If your having trouble with the tubing staying in the buffer bead or tail rubber, I have a little tip. push the tubing through so the end comes out the bottom, then put a baiting needle or something similar in the end of the tubing. Get your lighter and blob the end that the needle is in (the needle helps to stop the hole closing up). Then simply pull it back into the bead. No need for glue or anything this way.
  10. Managed to grab an overnighter last night. Had to be home for 8am this morning. So happy when this one came along at 5.30am. lost one on dark after an hour of getting the rods in, then had around 10 or 11 tench in between!!
  11. You can post directly on here now so no need for photobucket anymore. a lot of my posts from the old format of the forum will be affected though.
  12. Managed t squeeze in an overnight trip last night. Late start last night just before dark and off this morning. 5am this morning I was sat watching the water when I had a tench. Rod back out with a few more pult fulls of boilie and 10 minutes later I had the first carp. 6 tench later, I had the second one just as I was packing up.
  13. Had a slow start to June. 3 weddings over the last 4 weeks have seen to that!!! Yesterday's wedding was a little closer to home so the wife drove meaning I was able to get down the lake for a few hours this afternoon to scratch the itch. Had 40mph gusts, a warm SW wind, dropping pressure and overcast skys - perfect!!!! Dropped in on an empty lake so headed straight into the end of the lake that was in the teeth of the wonderful wind. I managed to nick three fish.
  14. I will let phil tell you all about his success this week. I'll just add that he fished his socks off and got his rewards! I struggled with no fish in front of me and no chance of a move. I did have a few out there on the first day and managed to trip a couple up.
  15. I've just sent Oli a message asking what he and Alan did ticket wise. I'm pretty sure he is in Europe again this week but will let you know when he comes back to me.
  16. Take a look at the latest NASH euro banx video on YouTube
  17. I can tell you one thing, I certainly worked hard for these 4!!! That last one came off a margin spot that I had been baiting for the 4 days; 3, 4 sometimes 5 times a day, around the other side of the lake to where I was fishing. They didn't get on it properly until the last afternoon. I had it less than 30 seconds after placing the rig in! The fish had been following the spawning bream around getting pre occupied on eating the spawn. It took a hell of a lot of bait, discipline and patience to get any pick ups.
  18. It'll come good for you matey. The work you put in will see to that.
  19. 31 kev. I don't normally put the weights on my pictures but seeing as it's you that asked! Lol it is down in weight from last year when Jordan dicks had it at 33 something. Not that I mind though.
