  3. martina cole writes some good story's,if you like crime and underworld stuff
  4. there are brackets on both sides of each platform to put bank sticks in
  5. don't use spod not really needed use method or pva bags i usually catapult about 30 small balls ov ground bait out then just wait and fish method over top of it and keep feeding in front of you put a line on it later in day,and hang on to your rod the runs are screamers but although decent average 12-15lb fish most have deformed mouths worse day 11 fish best day 42 fish this really is a runs water with flat sand clay bottom, the only snags really are the boards under you if they get under there forgett it i have never night fished it tho as you couldn't get a bivvy up but i think there is about 10 pegs with room 4 bivvy's now maybee more check for details drayton info 01132816895
  6. i have fished drayton a few times i go there if i've blanked a few times just to get a run and yes if you don't bag up there give up pegs 14-29 and 88-104 good pegs you can fish under your rod tip after 4pm with just sweetcorn if you get it right 1 rod is enough as you will defo get double takes i have had to get my m8 to land fish on other rod every time i have been and i've had to do the same for him,on one occasion there was 4 of us in row with 8 fish on at same time pure madness lines everywhere
  7. i went on 5th jan once there was 5 people on st'johns mind you the hurricane may have put people off
  8. all depends whether you are fishing for carp or cats worm or squid for the cats i have seen 33lb carp come out on paste, don't bother taking any cans or alcohol with you they have very strict rules there you will also need 50" landing net you can hire them from mark the owner if you don't have 1.the lake is very small aswell but nice place
  9. yes i would say it's the busiest lake i have ever fished by far.to many lines in,good size fish but some weeks 40 anglers 3rods each can't produce a bite between them
  10. check with roy the bailiff before you go mate it gets very very busy i have been a few times and not got on, i started fishing hunts corner instead if you can get on it i would fish hunts only 10 pegs on 9acre lake very peacefull edited for text talk x2gsd
  11. you also have to be off site by 6pm even in summer unless you are staying the night
  12. 3.5 hour drive to a place would have to be booked would not like to turn up on off chance,i watched the welsh carp championship from there on tv,a good few fish came out decent size aswell might be worth looking into social
  13. kingsbury water park has some nice fish,i think you can camp on site but no night fishing but only about £4 a day to fish, and a few slabs of beer and a bbq on the night could make fairly cheap holiday, also billing aquadrome has a few lakes plus river running through site
  14. bluebell ok but expensive but so are most places nowdays celtic lakes in wales might be an idea leaving the country might make it feel a bit more like a holiday abroad
  15. discocarper 6euro for a packet of bacon is stupid price in any country
  16. may not be true but i was told you can buy a season ticket for a £1000 a year for bluebell lakes, but you can fish any of the lakes as many times as you want for that i would want to live there
  17. bluebell lakes beautifull venue with some really big fish, but a very hard waters bluebell lake or mallard best if you want to catch, kingfisher has about 60-70 carp in but very big 1s
  18. the woman is a nightmare, but i have had good days on home pool with 10-15 fish in a day session regular but for some reason my catch rate dropped to the odd 1 or 2 fish even blanking the last couple of times and with the miserable so and so as bailiff i don't use this fishery anymore
  19. very very weedy expensive even the cafe expensive, hard water but really nice surroundings
  20. the bottom pool at shatterford ok there was no one on it when we went in the week and 5 lads on our lake and all of them were nice lads (not nutters)the fish i had 16lb 13lb were in good condition, but you do get numpty's at most venue's now anyway, sad i know but fact
  21. holt farm,dingle fishery.sheepy magna,grounds farm,cuttle mill are just a few close to tamworth
  22. i have just come back from shatterford lakes you can book there you can even book what pegs you want,(first come first choice basis they have 3 lakes but i would fish erics or stuarts lake if you want the kids to catch, you and your mate have options to go for big carp cats and sturgeon, warning tho long walk with kit up and down very steep hill, but if you got some little helpers shoudn't be problem. by kidderminster bridgenorthhttp://www.shatterford.com/
