  1. The Fox one's were originally black, i still have plenty of the black ones knocking about
  2. Hmmmm "put into boiling water so there is less chance of burning yourself" i much prefer to hold the hook with a pair of forceps and hold the hooklink well away from the steam and as it starts to shrink pull on the hooklink you'll soon get the hang of it and can cause any bend you want into it
  3. Obviously you did, and if i thought that he didnt understand the concept i would of spent another hour with him, if he still didnt get it them maybe he's just not cut out for the fishing business and would of told him
  4. Shocking mate absolutly shocking, i think its in this thread thats its been said (Nick i beleive) with the amount of publisized info on things like this, you must be just plain stupid to set something like this up
  5. Yeah Nick your wrong, so am i oh and i think Stoogi might be aswell, as im sure BBJ, Courtz, Coops and any other MOD will be by the end of the week
  6. Its not really up to what lead set up you use which determines what hooklink you use, its the lake bed, surroundings and what you have confidance in that does!
  7. I havent brought a mag for about 18 months and then i would only buy them when i was after some tackle, the only mag i used to buy was Total Carp (seemed to have the most adverts in) and as i saw it im guessing it was in one of them
  8. Lets just hope it was the set up that Neontrifle was on about
  9. Thats sort of what i meant in the first drawing but it was a rushed jobby sorry must try harder
  10. What like this??
  11. No not really Iv never used it TBH and never attemted to, but i can remember reading/seeing it some time ago, and though if i drew it, it might jog Neon's mind The way i see it, is that the top swivel will pull free on the take or the strike, just leaving the bottom swivel in and if the lead snags the only way for the lead to go is off backwards, (if i remeber correctly both swivels have to fastend to the leader)
  12. Poor drawing i know but was it something like this???
  13. Wait untill you have your new camera then as watching (or trying to watch) a poor quality video gets very boreing/irritating very quickly
  14. Yes you want a nice snug fit normally a size 7 or 8 swivel fits perfectly! Left of the pic to the right! Rig swivel, Lead clip, Tail rubber (im guessing its the tail rubber your after? Also remember to wet the lead clip before ushing the tail on and also only lightly push the tail on unless your chucking a long distance then you may need to push it on a little further as the lead can come free on the cast! you should be able to pull the lead free from the clip (whilst the tail is on) without to much pressure
  15. Correct! iv used it for the last year and bit now, superb stuff, supple, strong and as Paul says takes on the colour of the bottom your fishing over
  16. I would of paid to see your face
  17. I was lucky and from my first fishing days was taught to tie spade end hooks, its all that i used when i was younger (the only type my old man ever bloody brought, i swear it was so didnt rob them all the time cocked by teaching me to tie them first though )
  18. Practice with a big nail and piece of string or something abit bigger that a hook and line, you will soon get the hang of it, it is also alot quicker than useing a hook tyer, or am i just blowing my own trumpet
