When using running rigs what hooklength would be more suitable? If i was to use braid i would use 6" of sufix heavy skin, esp raptor size 7 and shrink tube. If i was to use mono i would use 8" of it and a esp stiff rigger with a braid hair. In your opinion what offers the best hooking potential? I think that the stiff mono combined with a running rig means hardly any chance for the hook to turn. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

thanks for your help, salokcinnodrog have you any idea of where the silt is and what does the lakebed consist of in the deeper areas of the lake, as im sure my leads are going straight into the lakebed taking the rig with it - making my day a waste of time any info would be a great help - thanks

Hi everyone, first time ive used the UK Carp Fishing forum anyone fished trimley carp lakes (bottom lake) recently? any info on pegs, bait etc would be much appreciated. im struggling and havent had so much as a liner so far this year any one know what lake record is for bottom lake?
